Unless I gain miraculous Japanese comprehension in the next few days then I’ll still be reading No Longer Human by the time this challenge starts. I’ll continue with that for this challenge and then see what I feel like reading next when I get there.

Luckily though, my overall (spring and summer) shows that I have been improving and that I recently hit a slump. I’m going to try hard to get out of this slump! I’ve felt it pretty keenly lately, so hopefully I can improve quickly.
Probably a bit ambitious but I have some free time coming up in August so hopefully it’ll be fine. Basically I want to make big progress on the VN I’ve been playing very slowly for several months already, read an entire book at my own pace (haven’t done that in a while), keep un with the VN reading club and read a bunch of manga:

AI: The Somnium Files (Just bought this on the Steam summer sale. I have no idea how hard it is but I’m up for a challenge.)
This is the first challenge I will be participating in, very excited about that! I’m still not used to posting, so it’s a bit intimidating, but worth it (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧
Although not with absolute confidence, I am sure that it would be appropriate to post here a little earlier than July 1. My plan is going to be weekly-based, with planning on Monday and summary on Friday. Progressing in-between will be optional, but I might tick the checkbox for reading, nonetheless.
This place will also be the main place for recording general Japanese immersion / learning within this summer.
Personally, I feel no obligation to read everyday, but for listening, I will try to listen everyday with a significant time duration (≧30 minutes).
Mainly going to focus on various book club books and the Himekawa Akira Zelda manga series. I might read a few Satori Reader stories as well, but I might stop reading them b/c I feel like reading actual books instead

I didn’t realize it was already that time. I’ll be here as always, posting as much as my inconsistently ache-y hands allow. Things have really ground to a halt recently from an excessive amount of stress, so I haven’t quite finished Summer Pockets like I could have, but this will be the challenge where it finally happens and I’m released from this many month long reading project (I mean I’ve liked it but it sure has been a long time). My reading per day is lower than it used to be right now but, after the week or so break to refresh, I’m still reading daily.
Plus, in a few weeks, my visual novel club begins! Come vote if you’re interested; it’s the last day for it! It’s looking like we’re reading ルーパーズ, unless there’s a last minute swing.
I’ll be joining but I’m not going to pretend to fill out a calendar - I’m really bad at doing that. I also already check days read on my phone in a habit tracker and on Natively
I’m currently trying to wrap up 硝子の塔の殺人 | L33 along with reading 海辺のカフカ with the book club and failing to ever make time to read 糞尿譚.
This is my second challenge joined! Unlike the last, I’m not going into this with any specific goals aside from just reading at least a little bit in Japanese every day, for the full three months until the next challenge.
I’ve got all volumes of ハイキュー!! though, and I’d like to at least make some headway through that, if not finish it. I also want to sit down one day (at least) when I don’t have anything else I need to be doing and just read and see how many volumes of manga I can read in a single day. I probably don’t have the stamina to spend all day reading novels in Japanese yet (sadly), but I think I can swing manga at least occasionally.
Though I won’t be joining any listening challenge, I do wanna try and get a little listening practice in (although certainly not every day), and I’ll likely be keeping track of that here, too.
I finally figured out how to put stuff on either end of the month names without completely messing up the spacing on the calendar, so, this challenge, each month has their corresponding symbol I’ll be using for the books I finish during them in the list below!
