A mysterious portal appears to… is that week 4??
Time’s sure is going by fast, look, we’re on week 5 already:
Bought this yesterday, two chapters in, planning to catch up shortly. Loving it! Thank you for putting all the work in arranging these book clubs, it’s a wonderful learning medium
This is the first book club that I’m joined. I always thought about trying one, but I’m not sure how to go about it and interact with the discussions after each week
I’m up to date with club, and tried to see if I could help anyone, but I wouldn’t be very confident in my responses, so I rather leave to more knowledgeable folk.
Any tips?
If you’re wrong, it’s generally fine. Worst case, someone else corrects you a bit. You can also do a bit of research before sending that reply, so you can be more confident.
there’s only really two outcomes from posting to help ppl
you’re wrong about something: someone will correct you, you learn, other people learn, life goes on
you’re right about something: everyone loves you, you feel good about yourself, other people learn too
everything’s coming up milhouse
We’re 2/3rd of the way through the month, you know what that means? Indeed, it’s week 6 time!
Voting has now begun for the next book after Shikimori, which will begin March 9th
Bit later than usual - I’m away from my PC right now - but here it is: week 7
Shhh, don’t tell anyone, but a new week dropped, time for week 8
This has been in my kindle library forever so I figured this book club was a good reason to finally read it lol. Just binged it and it was so cute (hope it’s okay that I read ahead of schedule!)
No, it’s absolutely disgraceful, I’m not sure how you think it would be ok to read at your own pace, even if that pace is faster. I would certainly never do anything like that. (Just don’t ask the others)
Oh look, we just passed the 2/3 point! Let’s continue, shall we?
With only three weeks left (and only actually 2 weeks of the main content of the volume), let’s begin week 10!
And we arrived at the penultimate week of this book club! Longest chapter too, so make sure you allocate enough time to it.
I just found out that this series spans a total of 20 books!
Does anyone have any idea about the quality of the rest of the series?
I really enjoyed the anime, especially when actual plot happens, that’s my only experience with it.
I’m curious about this as well.
Based on what’s been said about the short, episodic nature of the comic’s origin, I’m curious what kind of changes (if any) it went through to become such a long-running series.
I’ve committed myself to reading through volume three to see where it goes. (But I’m holding off on continuing past volume one until we see if someone will host an offshoot club.)
I enjoyed Volume 2 and 3 quite a bit; but I did pause on reading it after I nominated the title originally, with full intentions of continuing the series with the club if it was selected or on my own if it didn’t occur
I enjoyed this volume, so I’m planning to at least read volume 2. (And onwards if I continue to enjoy it).
