I’ve read up to volume 12 in English, and 13 is on my to-read pile.
For starters, it gets a whole lot less short and episodic. The formulaic pattern of “Izumi’s luck gets him in trouble, Shikimori saves him, Shikimori strikes a cool pose” gets dropped in favour of an ongoing arc of “goofy adventures with their goofy friends” in much the same way as Horimiya. The three friends who showed up back in Chapter 12 (the Setsubun chapter) return, and get actual names and characterisations, and later two more show up. There’s also a subtle art shift, which I still haven’t quite managed to put my finger on (though two of the seconary characters switch hairstyles, which confused me to no end until I figured it out).
