Discussion Guidelines
I’ve borrowed this section to the Absolute Beginner Book Club, and especially to the main thread of ホリミヤ written by @MrGeneric. I hope it’s ok, otherwise, I’ll rephrase it my way.

Spoiler Courtesy
Please follow these rules to avoid inadvertent ネタバレ. If you’re unsure whether something should have a spoiler tag, err on the side of using one.

  • Any potential spoiler for the current week’s watching need only be covered by a spoiler tag. Predictions and conjecture made by somebody who has not read ahead still falls into this category.

  • Any potential spoilers for external sources need to be covered by a spoiler tag and include a label (outside of the spoiler tag) of what might be spoiled. These include but are not limited to: other book club picks, other books, games, movies, anime, etc. I recommend also tagging the severity of the spoiler (for example, I may still look at minor spoilers for something that I don’t intend to read soon).

  • Any information from later in the book than the current week’s watching (including trigger warnings that haven’t yet manifested) needs to be hidden by spoiler tags and labeled as coming from later sections.

Posting Advice

  • When asking for help, please mention the number of the episode and time of the section, and check before posting that your question hasn’t already been asked. As the threads get longer, it becomes more convenient to use the Search function, which is located in the upper right corner of the forum. It is the magnifying glass which is near your profile picture! The best way to search is usually to type part of the sentence you are confused about, and select “in this topic”. This will show you all posts within the current thread which has that string of text.

  • Be sure to join the conversation! It’s fun, and it’s what keeps these clubs lively! There’s no such thing as a stupid question! We are all learning here, and if the question has crossed your mind, there’s a very good chance it has crossed somebody else’s also! Asking and answering questions is a great learning opportunity for everyone involved, so never hesitate to do so!

I’m looking forward to this, this anime looks fun.

I’m not yet at an N5 level, so I think I will watch with English subtitles, and see how many Japanese words and phrases I can catch. I have been watching Japanese shows this way, and am pleased that I’m picking up more all the time. I have picked up a few new words by hearing them repeated in the show and understanding from the subs what they’re talking about.

If I have the time I will rewatch with Japanese subs. I’ll check out the pdf’s too and see how much I can make sense of.

I was doing exactly the same at the beginning (and am still now) and that’s the way I enjoy the most watching anime

I think I’ll watch with english subtitles too, and looking at the useful pdf scripts^^
For now, when I watch an anime with japanese subtitles, I end up reading the subtitles instead of listening to the anime. It takes a lot of times, it doesn’t help to practice listening, and it’s not enjoyable at all for me
I’ll try again the japanese subtitles when my level is higher ^^

A nice surprise for me when I started this… Netflix has Japanese subtitles just available out of the box in my region. Usually they don’t.

Slightly less good, apparently Netflix’s built in subtitles don’t work with yomitan.

In the US at least, Netflix has Japanese subtitles available for most of the titles they produce or co-produce, and for a few other titles as well. For anyone who hasn’t already done this, here’s how to make Netflix offer you Japanese subtitles as an option whenever they are available:

  1. Go to the Settings page on Netflix.
  2. Click on Languages.
  3. Under Shows & Movies Languages, check the box next to 日本語.
  4. Click the Save button.

There may be Chrome extensions available to make Netflix subtitles work with Yomitan. I’m using the Subadub Firefox extension to make them work with Yomichan. It also makes them selectable/copyable.

@macalys I have uploaded the subtitles up to episode 6 in japanese, japanese + english and japanese with furigana + english. I think it’s easier to just share the folder link: Romantic Killer - Google Drive

Those links on your OP are not working anymore cause I changed the files names
