Re Zero book club home thread

The country where the story takes place (The Empire) is modeled after Germany at the beginning of the 20th century.

So, did we decide what we are reading next? I’m planning to go to book-off soon anyway; might as well grab the next book.

I finally decided to make the official announcement now. Please look at the OP for the entire information regarding the next book. I hope you like how I cleaned up the OP to make it easier to go through

Oh, there’s a lot less to read now, nice

While you’re cleaning anyway, I figured I may as well mention that I noticed a typo(has instead of as) in the first post

There was a lot of information that was about old stuff and the beginning of the bookclub. A lot of information was also about the first book which is almost finished so might as well put it away. There was also some information that did not provide anything useful now so I deleted them and I also hidden the old post. I passed from ā€œhey this is a new book club, please be gentleā€ to ā€œThis book club is very professional and well madeā€ kinda stuff. It’s easier to find the information you need instead of just looking at the entire post again. Maybe I should had the reading schedule to it? Anyway glad you like it. I thought it might be more attractive to new readers.

I do not see what you mean I never made a mistake there :stuck_out_tongue:

Just though I’d mention the polls in the old poll drop down don’t show properly.

It just looks like the tags are broken, though?

This is a test. I repeat. This is a test. [poll type=regular results=always public=true]
  • A

[/ [poll ]

Edit: looks like the details environment flubernucks everything. Let me try something.

Edit2: it didn’t work

Edit3: let’s test some more!

SUCCESS!

So, as usual, Discourse is having trouble with recursively applying plugins. So you need to give it a little help and expend the poll in its place.
The way I did it was to inspect the HTML and copy the part that corresponds to the poll and put that in the details instead

I did try it but i’m not sure I got the right thing cause it failed :sob:

If you restore the original poll (i.e. put them back in the main post) I can give you the html you have to write.

By that you mean get them out of the detail section right?

Yes

Like I suspcted the poll have been reset so, thanks for your help but I don’t think the poll will be usefull anymore

Alright, I tried to make a schedule for the next book:

  • Until the end of the first chapter (39 pages of text)
  • Until the end of chapter 2 part 5 (38 pages of text)
  • Until the end of chapter 2 part 12 (42 pages of text)
  • Until the end of chapter 3 part 5 (38 pages of text)
  • Until the end of chapter 4 part 3 (40 pages of text)
  • Until the end of chapter 4 (43 pages of text)
  • Until the end of chapter 5 part 7 (38 pages of text)
  • Until the end (34 pages of text)

That’s 8 weeks! Not bad
… I tried not to look to avoid spoilers, but anyway the images contain a lot of fan service this time :frowning: Sad face.
