Re Zero book club home thread

Aww, that’s nice.

It also sounds very dramatic, our bonds must be strong. :handshake:

I was also wondering about that after book discussion, but you’re right, @icefang97, there’s still the weekend to get through. :man_facepalming:

Haha. I guess I am a bit antsy since I finished book 2 early.

I hope to see you all back for volume three.

Just so you know, you set the poll to close in an hour

I confused the month and the day oupsie. I just wanted to see if someone was following.

Btw how can you be so quick? Do you have a script that teleports you to the thread or something?

P.S since I changed the poll you will have to revote @Ditto20. Srry

I wanted to answer “yes” but I’m not sure I can finish book 2 by then. I’ll read book 3 for sure though, it’s already purchased and ready to read.

Nope, I’m just fast, and do not teleport to polls, or to anywhere else. (and it’s always fun to see people’s reactions, I guess)

For the poll question, I’ll keep reading but will probably be consistently a bit behind until Christmas or so(unless I finish book 2 this week)

Even faster than leebo. I didn’t though it was possible

FYI, time just changed in the U.S. due to daylight savings.

oh! yeah that is true. Thanks

Edit: It one hour before right? That makes it pretty early

Yep, it’s an hour earlier, which definitely makes it pretty early. I really wish we’d stay on the time closer to Japan all year…

By the way. you can also insert dates that automatically convert to the local timezone with Discourse:

[date=2019-11-11 time=22:00:00 timezone="Japan"]

Volume 3 is now up. I know you were all hyped for it so here it is.

So I just got out from the cinemas.

This is OVA2 that was released 5 days ago. And received this as a gift:

First time in Japan and the first thing I do in the first day is go and watch a ReZero OVA in the cinemas :joy:

I hope it’s still running in a month or so when I go there O_O.

Did you receive a book?

I think it will. I was still seeing screenings of 天気の子 even now (unless if there’s a difference depending on the show).

Did you receive a book?

Yup the picture above is of the book. But this one is only for the first week. 2nd week you get some Emilia posters.

You’re gonna go again? :eyes:

What’s the book about? The OVA?

I seriously considered going again, but fortunately, I don’t really have much use for posters.

The books (both this, and the other one you saw me reading on bookmeter) are like accompaniments for the OVA. They tell you extra stories around the main plot of the OVA (which is much better than just being a written form of the same plot line). I was really enjoying the first one, so need to finish that to start with this.

How long are they? They(at least for the first ova, but I’m guessing it’ll probably be the same for the new one) seem to be pretty readily available used, but are they long/good enough that it would be worth getting them?

They’re pretty short, second one seems to be smaller than the first one, at 93 pages. (Also, you probably won’t find it except in used places since it’s “Not For Sale”)

From what I read, they’re not super important but they add some short details to the connection between the characters (which is one of the strongest point of ReZero, so maybe they’re important :joy:)
