I basically stopped reading this when I started in on 容疑者Ｘの献身, but although I’ve been caught up for a week already I’m slow to get back into Murakami.

Somehow the switch between authors feels quite difficult right now. Since that book is going into its last week now, I’ll probably finish it first and then get caught up with 1Q84 next week. :slight_smile:

Until then, a sentence on p 179 I liked: それについて考えると、好印象と胸のかたちにどんな関係性があるのか、天吾にもだんだんわからなくなってきた。
Indeed, 天吾, indeed. It is a mystery to me too.

戎野先生’s dialogues (monologues) are the worst. That’s all I have to say. :sweat:

Just finished this chapter yesterday (got a bit of catching up to do, whoops). Poor 天吾, must be heartbreaking to see all of his hard work paying off and not being credited for it.

Glad to see I am not the only one who thinks they’re insufferable :sweat_smile: Really hope we won’t be getting more of them.
