Gotta agree these particular 3 (81-83) chapters were very simple and nice! I guess there’s the factor that we’ve gotten used to Chi’s way of speaking so it feels really easy to read now

Yes but there also are no difficult dialogue between the humans!
Although these dialogues help us improve, so I hope there will be a few not too far in the future ^^’

Ch81
When I see Chi going outside, I always fear that she will get lost. Hopefully, this time she is not going far away, just looking!
David the dog has a really simple and funny face

Chi is getting distracted so easily by everything she sees… please do not get lost!
Ch83
The boys on the slide look exactly like Youhei! I hope Chi will be able to return home easily…

Once again, Chi forgets what she was doing… once second she is playing with Youhei, the next she goes outside… Poor Youhei, now waiting for her to grace him with her presence again.
Will she have learn from her previous misadventure and stay aware of her path to be able to come back?

Damn, I don’t know how to feel about Chi going back to her mother… The best scenario, imho, would be for them to be reunited but still live “apart”. It’s not far so they could see each other often, if not everyday, but Chi could still be a part of the 山田 family.
There now are wanted posters for Chi, will the 山田 see it?
The very last “sentence” though… Chi forgot that she had a mother…

In her mind, Chi sees 「ママ」 as… some sort of carpet? xD

But I read all 6 chapters now! =D
Fun and enjoyable ones as always! but sure is getting interesting! (Not that I didn’t know, I have read the whole series in English. Already been a while do, so have forgotten all the little things, making all the fun interactions just as enjoyable! <3 )

I see that even at the end of chapter 83, the brown cat is observing Chi…
Chi is remembering the black cat, I hope they will meet again soon (as we can hope when looking at the back of this volume…).

The moment I was waiting for, Chi is meeting again the black cat
It’s strange because at the beginning of the manga, I did not like a lot the black cat (before he teaches Chi about cat’s lifestyle), but now I really love him because he was so nice with Chi.

A missed opportunity for Chi to meet her mother. The mangaka is keeping some stories for the next volumes

I like the “I don’t know where to go” face of Chi. So funny!
This volume finishes on a happy end, and we see that there will be some interesting stories coming on the next volumes!!

The map is so cool, now we can see that the new home of Chi is very close of her mother’s home, and of the black cat’s home.

Same here. At first, he is the one that makes the concierge super suspicious which is bad for Chi (we don’t know yet that he indeed lives in that building and can think that he is an outsider that only creates problems there), then he doesn’t care about Chi but finally he becomes her mentor and first furry friend (and only intelligent furry friend so far ), at which point he becomes likable.

Hey! I’m afraid I wont catch up anytime soon. I can barely make it to the next day at the moment. I’ll have more time soon, though. I hope I’ll regain some of my motivation and be able to do more than the bare reviewing necessities and the occasional chapter.

I understand, I haven’t any motivation either (the constant headaches don’t help ^^') and if you aren’t reading volume 4 or 5 yet, it’s harder and not as fun :-/

Yeah, I have had a lot of subtle headaches in the past weeks/months, too. As well as right now.
I still didn’t progress any further with Chi’s from when we talked last time, but once I catch up with another manga I’ll definitely continue reading Chi’s. I really enjoyed it

Ah, finally got around to finishing the volume! I was So close to just finish it all when I read the previous batch, then managed to push it of almost a week more instead =P
I love that Blackie is back!
Oh I wonder if he COULD be her dad!! They sure live close enough, and he is both drawn very boxy and shows marking, both indicating a cat that isn’t neutered. To me he will be her dad now! <3
