This was a fun chapter for sure :rofl: I can’t fathom how they always find new ways to make things かわいい and I like it :rofl:

The mangaka really does a good job with the facial expressions :rofl:

There are so many funny bits, but my highlight would be the last panel, where Tina’s only concern of Kesaran getting big is that they won’t fit in the house or be able to enter the house :rofl: I also like her imagination :rofl: And how she thinks that Kesaran would get quite big if they keep eating everything or something like that :rofl:

I have a question regarding a word on page 64: the meaning of なぁ. I think this appeares 2 times in this chapter and I assume it means something along the negations at the end of the sentence to confirm what has been said (maybe a bit similar to ね?) an example might be: you’re coming with us, aren’t you? I’d appreciate the input :heart:

Time to do some more translations! I’ve been trying to increase my understanding of Japanese sentence structure, so hopefully that’ll help me lower the amount of tool assistant I have to use.

I see this な as self reflection/thinking. But it think it can also serve a similar purpose to ね as you said. Depends on the context.

最高 means “the best” so she’s saying “Shopping is the best!”

でも、その前に is Tina saying “But first…” or" but before that…" since she saw the pastry in the window.

あれ is more of a way of saying “huh?” or “uuh… what?”

I think this is supposed to be the last panel of page 69? とにかく一度お兄ちゃんに電話して確認 translate into “Anyway, I’ll call and confirm with my brother” confirming that she did leave her wallet at home.

Cookie. Vertical katakana still gets me too :joy:

なにがし is the little guy’s name!

Thanks for doing these translations! I’ve been reading though myself first, and then go through your translations and compare what I think it all said afterwards.

Ironically, the better I get at Japanese, the worse my translations will become as I start relying on my translation tools less and less. Thanks for the corrections! The more I learn now, the quicker they’ll get worse :wink:

What I find a bit helpful for me is to try and rely on the general context while attempting to translate different words rather than looking up what the literal meaning of the word is. I’m not in any way good at translating, but I found this approach helpful :heart:

The の after 見つけた nominalizes the verb, so now the rest of the sentence is refering to “finding Tina.” おかげで is a way of saying “thanks to” the form is noun + の + おかげで, so こいつのおかげで is “thanks to this guy.”

OOOHHHHHHH I did know that grammar point, but this is the first time I think I saw it in the wild. That makes a lot of sense, thank you!!
