I recently ran across 彼なり which helped me with なにがしなり in this week’s chapter, used to say the greeting is particular to the Nanigashi. Let me know if that is what you got too or if I’m just wrong.
I was a bit worried with two chapters, but then I peaked ahead and noticed that they’re both only about 6 pages each.

I’ll have the soup set today please (No clue what the kanji after day is)
Yes!
What size would you like?
Large (I’m assuming that the L stands for large here… also why is the で particle used here?)
Page 102
As for the bread in the set, I’ll have a cinnamon roll
Yes!
Looks tasty!
We made today’s dish with a lot of skill
Thank you very much!
Page 103
Aah, Keseran, what is it this time?
Soup please!
Ah, yes!
Page 104
Thank you very much
(Believe it or not… I translated this page all on my own)
Page 105
I knew it! You were up to something just now, weren’t you?
They were doing it each time a customer arrives, so maybe it’s a greeting?
I see!
In that case…
Page 106
Please come in…
Thank you very much
Aaa! It’s true!
Cute…
Moi pose…
Moi pose…?
Page 107
12:30? 30 minutes? 30 minutes after midnight? I’m really not sure. Also just realized that Wanikani never actually taught me 0.
Page 108
This drink should keep me up for another 2-3 hours
Aaa
Still awake
Do you want to eat the honey?
Page 109
But it’s only honey, you won’t be full
Here’s something good
You can have these beans if you want ( I suspect these aren’t beans)
Just wait a little
Ah
Page 110
Ooh
Page 111
I’ll show Tina this tomorrow
That sounds good, lets do that
Come to think of it, what does their teeth look like?
2 chapters in one go but they were heartwarming chapters
I really liked this concept of shorter chapters tackling simple things.
A general question regarding the word やっぱり, could someone explain the meaning or the right way of using it? I just have too many conflicting information in my mind
Regarding chapter 8, The cuteness of Tina and the customer and how they interacted with one another was かわいいいいいいいいいいいいいいい Getting a heart attack from cute things is totally ok with me . I also liked the pose Kesaran always did
Chapter 9 was a very fun one, too. I liked how Kesaran became similar to trained dog to just catch the mame (or beans) This was really funny Also, I’m assuming this all happened at night and not something Nicholas is dreaming about, correct?
Also, is it possible to link this thread to the home thread?
The way I understood it (after attempting to translate it) is that this kanji in combination with the kanji for day means “day changing”, which sounds weird. However, here they are referring to the soup of the day or today’s menu, which changes everyday. That’s also what the word set is referring to, which is the “menu” option you could get at a restaurant, per se.
Indeed, L would stand for large here. My assumption of the で is that they’re just using it to describe the means of getting the soup, which is as a large size. I’m not sure how valid that would be, though.
There was something here about baking it at the right degree to get the right color of glazing, where it’s not burnt, but not under-baked, per se. However, you can just translate it like you did and that would be the right gist of it
you got this
The way I understood (after attempting to translate it) is this would mean “welcoming pose” or “saying hi pose” with Moi meaning something like “hi”, “hey” or “welcoming”. So, this would the pose Kesaran would make to either greet the customers, but mainly to thank them for buying. If you pay close attention to what Kesaran was doing or how they picked it up, they copied what Tina was doing when giving the customer their soup (bringing the two hands together, and closer)
The first one would be the correct one, which is 12:30 am, since they’re using a 24-hour system apparently.
Somewhere in mind there was something about having/wanting to read 2-3 more books or so, but that could also be incorrect.
My understanding/assumption here was that eating the honey on its own would be good for the stomach, but this could also be valid.
They’re some kind of beans (I think the green colored ones). They might have another name, which I’m not remembering right now
I think I’m going to die from how cute this manga is. These two chapters were a lot easier to understand mostly because of context clues and that a large portion of it was greetings.
