I’m not quite sure that I understood what they were exactly discussing on page 40. I know it’s along the lines that the sister overslept and the brother was doing something else or so, but I’m not sure.
Regarding the difference between 寒い and 冷たい: the first one is used to describe the weather while the second is used to describe whether something is cold or not. This is what I had in mind from when I encountered these words in the wild. Is that correct or is there another way to use them?
I also like how Kesaran played in the snow and got stuck and Tina almost forgot about it just for her to build a Kesaran doroma this manga is killing me with its cuteness

I haven’t had much time to get to reading this week, but I did manage to get in a couple of pages tonight. I changed my approach and decided to look up each grammar point I didn’t know before moving on, using whatever is available on tofugu.com, since that’s my favorite Japanese grammar site.
So, while I didn’t quite finish reading this week’s chapter during week 5, I actually did understand the vast majority of what I read this time around, once I pieced together what I learned from reading the grammar articles. It’s like, I’m actually… learning .
This chapter had a few spots that I really needed to look up. I guessed the meaning mostly from context, but I had to break down most of the sentences. Had a lot of fun! Also This manga is just too cute T^T.

Okay, I finished chapter 3, only a day late. Hopefully that won’t happen with the next chapter.
Overall, I actually felt pretty good about this one. I had to look up a few words, and there are a few grammar points I don’t understand yet, but I had no trouble following along with what was happening. I didn’t understand everything, but I managed to piece together more than I did in the past few weeks.
やる is to do, and てくれる is when someone does something for you, so いつもやってくれて(い)る is “You’re always doing it for me.” たまには is occasionally, and やらなきゃ is a casual way of saying must.
