A few more tricky sentences from this week:

Page 27: それではお言葉に甘えさせていただきます

甘える is “to take advantage of.” It’s in the causative form, meaning make or let, and since it’s marked with に we know it means let. Then it’s followed by いただく “to recieve.” If translated literally it would be something like “I humbly recieve allowing myself to take advantage of your offer.” Since that sounds weird, I would say, “In that case, I’ll take you up on your offer.”

Page 36: コップの底にハチミツ残っちゃってたね

Here we see the てしまう grammar point using its “unfortunately” meaning. 残っちゃう is the casual form of 残ってしまう.

Both of these sentences don’t translate directly to English, so don’t be surprised if you struggled with them.

Looks like we’re jumping into do a whole chapter, huh? At first I thought that would be a whole bunch of pages, but it looks like chapter 2 is much shorter than chapter 1?

Page 25

Today’s customers will come soon, right?

Page 26

It’s a weekday morning, so isn’t that just how it is?
Big brother!
I’ll watch the shop, so go take a break
Is that really alright on your day off?
It’s all the same when I read my book so don’t worry
You really like that book, huh?
(Guess that first page had a meaning closer to ‘why haven’t there been any customers today yet’)

Page 27

Just make sure to tell me if anything happens, alright?
Yeah yeah
Delicious

Page 28

Hmm?
What’s happened, why are you looking at me?

Page 29

Keseran your eyes are all sparkly!
Looks like he’s completely settled in

Page 30

!
He’s chasing his tail!

Page 31

Woah! He’s started spinning around!
I didn’t realize he could move so quickly!
…?
He’s going a lot faster than I thought he could…
Uwaa, big brother, Keseran is spinning at a high speed!
Uh

Page 32

Wow!!
Even in this state, it’s floating!
!
Older brother, it’s creating wind!
From this donut Keseran!!
Woah, that’s amazing
Donut Keseran…?
But would should I do about this!?
It’s still moving, huh…

Page 33

I wonder if the Keseran is really not dizzy?
Yeah…
Could it be that this is how it moves around!?
It’s possible
Gammera (???) Japanese turtle
All we can do is watch it…
Guess so…

Ah!

Page 34

It hit it
It’s falling!!

Page 35

Aaah!
Older brother, you caught it!
It fits perfectly inside that cup, huh?
Think it had fun?
Ah

Page 36

There was some leftover honey at the bottom of the cup, huh?
But Keseran doesn’t seem to mind
Later on
Ah, it’s in the cup again!
It seems it likes the inside of the cup

言葉に甘える I had seen before just not with the causative and いただく. Makes me think about, ‘I’ll take you up on that offer’ vs ‘let me take you up on that offer’. Probably too much too think about at this point granted it’s basically the same. I guess it can also just be respect for the brother.

目回ってないのかな? I was not familiar with. From others here it seems to be wondering if it’s getting dizzy.

I don’t have much to say about this week’s reading. I think it’s a little too far beyond my reading level to learn a lot while reading it, but I guess it’s still important to get an idea of what I need to study.

That being said, this is my favorite panel so far:

Oh look! I’m consistent lol! Although stuff is getting harder now. T^T Or work has been exhausting and my brain is processing slower. Either way I am still enjoying reading!

I decided to take a break from translating all the bubbles and give my brain a brake this go around. I understood about 1/4th of it lol! Eh I’ll take it! Next week aught to be easier at work and my Brain should be back to normal.

I think (according to my very limited understanding) the first chapter of any new manga would be longer than usual, in order to introduce everyone to the story or allow to attract as many people as possible, while trying to be as effective as possible with telling the story. After the first chapter, every chapter would be about the same length.

I’m not sure how accurate that is, but it serves just as a general idea

Thank you for the translation

Alright, I only did find the time today, but I did two chapters at once :sob:

This chapter is the right amount of fun I needed  The chemistry between Tina (that was her name?) and Kerasan is killing me

A question regarding page 26 the bottom right panel: is that finally a customer in the background? :face_holding_back_tears:

On page 34, I really liked how Tina just fell on the ground literally as she tried to catch Kesaran  just for that to be followed by Kesaran falling into the cup  I can’t handle all of that

Again, I’m thankful for everyone engaging in here, as you’re the ones giving me the motivation to keep going forward

Here’s a Sakura for you :cherry_blossom:

Edit: regarding what happened in this chapter, I really wanted to see if Kesaran can Spin so fast that he breaks the speed of light and to open up a portal to another dimension or to the future. Oh God, the ideas are starting to spin in my head

There are two more volumes after this one, we never know :eyes:

We shall see then :eyes:
