yES! NEW LEsSSONS FINALLY

No, you can use the third party apps perfectly fine. They will use your API key, and it all syncs together. I do the majority of my lessons and reviews using a third party app.

You can use your browser on your phone. I do that

One of the benefits of the apps is the creators usually add some of the user scripts into the functionality by default. Usually you can choose to turn them on or off.

Yeah, on the Android app you have the option of using 1x1 mode for example, where you can review meaning and reading side-by-side.

The Android app is actually better than the website in my opinion.

do you know of a sort of flashcard app where i can review WK material but not have to be on the actual site?

its almost impossible to review on WK without doing an actual review cause the meanings and readings are clear as day

I don’t, but you could easily make your own, and it might even be more beneficial for you. But if not, I’m sure there’s apps out there that you could do it, like Anki for instance. I’ve never used it but I know many people use it to drill things like kanji.

The whole idea of WK is that your review process is streamlined so you don’t have to do more reviewing on the side. It won’t be sustainable at some point anyway. But there are scripts for that, as well as just stuff like anki and quizlet.

just wanna do a little something in the beginning

There’s a Self Study Script, but of course that’s used on the WK site itself. If you use it, you want to make sure you don’t end up studying specifically for your WK reviews, because that may lead to you incorrectly leveling up in your SRS purely because of how recently you reviewed an item.

If you go to the recent unlocks in the last 30 days list, you cant see the meanings and readings.

That’s what they’re trying to avoid.

I made a script specifically for that. It only shows the readings/meanings when you hover over them with your mouse. It also gives you a shuffle button to help you not form a dependence on sequence. And if you happen to have the Self-Study Quiz script installed, you’ll also get a Quiz button that lets you quiz on the category you’re looking at (e.g. Level 3 kanji, or whatever).

just what i needed, thanks !

still sorta new to scripts

its not letting me download that script from that website on chrome.

[ General Script Installation instructions ] :point_left: You’ll need a script host plugin like TamperMonkey
[ Open Framework Installation ]
And then you can install the Hide Info script.

(I should update the Hide Info thread to include the above info. I’ve started doing that on my other scripts, but haven’t gotten to all of them yet)

still having a bit of trouble

it told me to put ur script on the top which i did but it still seems to not work

what am i doing wrong??
