I don’t know if it exists already but I noticed that there are a lot of synonyms in Wanikani, words with the same meaning on Wanikani but with different nuances to them in real life.
Words like 命令 or 注文 both are “Order” in Wanikani but with differents usages. If there were only these two, that would be fine but it’s something I’ve seen quite a lot (it wont be the last time I assume) and with the SRS, I tend to forget about them until I get them wrong because of it. Is this possible to make a plug-in to add in nuances to their meanings ?
A simplest way to do, is with Yomichan + JJ dictionaries, but there is still a thing with dictionary sources.
I use External Definition script + auto-show info + no scroll. At this point, I might rather recommend Double Check, which can be set to auto-show info.
I don’t know if it’s even possible, but I would love a way to block certain answers. Like the way that answering “to drop” is accepted as correct for both 落ちる and 落とす. I’d like to block “to drop” which would force me to use either “to drop something” and “to fall down”… I know I can just type those in full but there are other examples where I forget that it’s an intransitive/transitive pair and only realize after seeing the answers that I used the wrong one
I just found this thread after making a post! I’m looking for a Timer script for Lessons/Reviews that works currently as the others are now defunct. I’d appreciate anyone’s time
Is there a script to let you choose which specific items to study in a session? I know there are reordering scripts which let you decide group order, say kanji or vocab first etc, but how about something that lets you checkbox the exact items you want in a given session? (Of course out of the limited ones in that level that are available to study in the first place).
I have always considered the highest SRS level to be too short in time (4 months) and I would like to have a further review after one year, before burning stuff. I am aware that one can unburn stuff or use the self study feature, but one would have to keep track manually of when it is meant to happen (I definitely don’t want to review everything all the time, it would take too long and it would be very inefficient), and if I can’t remember an item I would have to unburn it manually and go through all the stages again, or manually return it… very cumbersome.
I wonder if it is a possible via to do this via a script for example like this:
quiz each item 1 year after it is being burnt.
If the user answers correctly, it stays burnt
If the user answers incorrectly, it is unburnt.
Order the reviews so that all items unburnt by the script are at the end of the review session, in what we will call “virtual SRS queue”
The review session is interrupted automatically when it reaches the virtual SRS queue, before these items are reviewed, and the review count showed in the homepage is altered so that these items are ignored in the total (so the reviews are shown as zero even if in fact there are unburnt items at apprentice level).
Once four months since an item in the virtual SRS queue elapse, the item is removed from it and goes in the normal queue and the script allows for it to be reviewed.
If the user answers correctly, it is automatically burnt again. If the users answers correctly, it goes again in the virtual SRS queue, but this time it will be reviewed again after a shorter interval
This looks quite complicated to me, but maybe it is possible to do it via a script.
Hi there! I’ve tried looking incase this already exists but haven’t had much luck.
I’d love an option to change the batch size of lessons in the lessons menu rather than having to go Settings/App/Lesson batch sizing every time.
Sometimes if I have lots of lessons on a given day I’ll put it to 10, see which ones make sense to do in a batch then resize the batch so that they’re grouped by content and do say 6 and then a quiz then 3 then a quiz etc so that I can focus better when going through lots of new content.
I hope this makes sense would be grateful for any help or let me know if I can clarify
