Nice job!

Yeah, ใกใ‚‡ใ†ใ—ใ‚’ใคใ‘ใชใŒใ‚‰ is a bit confusing, my best guess is that the ใใ‚Œใ€ใใˆใƒผ part is noises from the mouth, and then ใกใ‚‡ใ†ใ— refers to the โ€œvein; mood; way; mannerโ€ definition. So something like โ€œWith the manner of โ€˜ใใ‚Œใ€ใใˆใƒผโ€™, she threw onigiri into the mouth etcโ€

One more nitpick to note is ใชใ’ใ“ใ‚“ใงใ„ใใพใ—ใŸ is using ใ„ใ as an auxiliary verb, which carries the nuance of โ€˜to begin (and continue).โ€™ So, she began (and continued) to throw the onigiri into the mouth.

Hmm, I think I put the wrong definition of ใ„ใใ‚‰ใงใ‚‚ in the vocab sheet. In this case Iโ€™d say definition 2 fits a little better, โ€˜great many.โ€™

The headโ€™s mouth ate a great many onigiri with a โ€˜munch munch.โ€™

Not your fault, but mine. Updated the vocab sheet!

I see, but every translation i found was something similar to โ€œas many as one likesโ€ or โ€œno mater of how~muchโ€ so i thought it fitted

Yeah, it still pretty much fits but โ€˜a great manyโ€™ is a more natural English translation. As long as you got the meaning itโ€™s not that big of a deal though.

In this sentence the important nuance is the ใซใ™ใ‚‹ grammar point, to make.

ใซใ‚‡ใ†ใผใ†ใซใ—ใŸ

Made a wife

ใŸใ„ใธใ‚“ใชๅฅณใ‚’

A terrible woman (direct object of the verb)

So putting it together, and from the perspective of Gosaku:

[I] have made a terrible woman [my] wife.

I thought it sounded wrong because there was no indication that he did something to her before.

But you are right!

I was just wondering if somebody could explain the difference between ๅคงใŒใพ and ๅคงใชใน, as on the vbocab sheet they both say cauldron. I have also tried to google it and while ๅคงใชใน shows more of a pot, I could only find waterfalls? Google translate says itโ€™s a kettle, so wasnโ€™t sure which was best!

You might do an image search of ๅคง้‡œ and ๅคง้‹.

I would also Like to continue translating every Sentence. Itโ€™s also my first bookclub and my first book. I Probably wouldnโ€™t understand anything If we wouldnโ€™t do it Sentence for Sentence.

I appreciate the sentence by sentence translation. I donโ€™t think I can get through this book without it, since Iโ€™m not at that level yet.

For now Iโ€™m just trying to parse what I can myself, seeing what vocab / kanji / grammar I can recognize, then jumping to the thread for the answer. I hope once I finish the Genki series I can start providing my own translations. Maybe for the next book club reading.
