The userscripts that I’m using (that work as of January 21st 2025):

  1. Wanikani Open Framework - A necessary prerequisite for the below scripts.
  2. Wanikani Double-Check - The number one missing feature for WK.
  3. WaniKani Self-Study Quiz - In combination with the WaniKani Self-Study Fix.
  4. WaniKani Open Framework Additional Filters - Dependency for Item Inspector.
  5. 漢字の筆順のフォント (Kanji stroke order font) - Not a userscript, but still a dependency for Item Inspector.
  6. Wanikani Item Inspector - A major enhancement for WK Self-Study.
  7. WaniKani Reorder Simple - My own custom reordering script (very opinionated).

In addition to all of the scripts, I’m also using WaniKani Elementary Dark for dark mode. I think it’s an extremely underrated dark theme and I refuse to use WK without it. I don’t think it’s maintained anymore, but it still works for now (I will maintain it if it ever breaks).

Because I am using a dark mode stylesheet, I actually use a modified version of WK Self-Study Fix, which, in addition to fixing Self-Study, fixes a lot of the above userscripts’ issues with dark mode.

For Android, I use Smouldering Durtles which is absolutely magnificent. Works flawlessly.
