I @ them on Twitter before I got lifetime asking the same thing. They replied saying that annual and monthly will stay the same price all year round.

Question: does this sale end once 6th Jan is over, or once it begins (just confirming)? Also, what timezone?
I’m a broke uni student so I’m really scared to actually take the plunge and splurge. I know it’ll be worth it, but I’m just anxious to spend that much money all at once, so I haven’t bought it quite yet. Procrastinating at its best!

Okay… My mistake. From midnight today then! 
Few days late in posting but I too took the plunge and got lifetime too. Wanikani has been the best method for studying kanji for me so it just made sense! Here’s to a good year of Japanese study!
