Was doing my reviews and came across karate, the sky kanji looks different since it’s not connect for the top piece but this is the first time I have seen it like this. Has anybody else seen this? 空手

You are seeing the characters in a Simplified Chinese font for some reason.
I would try clearing your cache, or hold shift while reloading the WaniKani page. Also make sure you don’t have any browser extensions or settings that are blocking the page from loading its own fonts.
