So, I made 20 more levels for Kanji I planned to learn after WaniKani level 60. It is just that I like Kanji learning and can do it well… unlike grammar. Furthermore, I can learn vocab better when I learn it along with Kanji. Also, drawing Kanji keeps me awake.

This is great! You obviously put a lot of work into this. This looks like something I will want to try after level 60.

I am new to Anki though, and was wondering how I would learn the kanji in the 61-70 block, along with its relevant vocabulary at the same time?

By learning Lv 61 Kanji along with Lv 61 Vocab, 62 with 62 and so on.

I forgot to put in the tutorial Fake Levels 61 - 70 or 無限 INFINITY - #19 by polv, although it would be best if someone upload it to Memrise; because Anki is hard to use and is problematic sometimes. Also, Memrise can visualize levels.

That Anki is hard to use sometimes, is why I created Spreadsheet version.

Added tutorials:

  • Recommended to use filtered deck, but without filter probably also works fine.

You could organize/visualize the levels as sub-decks in Anki, wouldn’t that work okay? :relaxed:

Simply because Anki developers don’t recommend that, so I use filtered deck instead.

Have you seen the warning “You have too many decks…”?

Also, filtered decks can use “tag:marked” or “is:new”.

Kanji in Names are quite problematic. You see, sometimes it doesn’t use Kun, On nor Nanori.

Worst case.

No naming, no Kun, no On, no Nanori, no stroke order, nothing.

Now, I plan to personally used this one too.

BTW, currently stopped at level 63, due to WaniKani lesson overload.

Also, updated Lv 76-80 Kanji, made from WK sentences and Core 10K sentences. But Kanji not uploaded to Anki yet; only vocabs (which are generated by script.)

It appears that Koichi likes to overuse Kanji. Not the case with Core, though.

Updated all Kanji to include RTK (Remembering the Kanji)'s keywords. Also, this is because I renewed my faith in mnemonics. This does not help to remember readings, though (which I remember via vocabs).

Exported Kanji to Anki and updated the template.

Added Pitch Accent to BeyondWK vocabs, thanks to this thread.

Looking back at the deck, I think it would be more practical to do Lv 61-70, 76, 78-80, and some extra Kanji. The remainder in N1 kanji, non-常用漢字, don’t really matter that much in reading, IMO.

  • Lv 61-67: Kanji in Core 10k
  • Lv 68-69: 常用漢字
  • Lv 70, 78-80: non-常用漢字, but currently in use.
  • Lv 76: some common 人名用漢字

I am entering a dangerous area, not in Core 10k, yet Joyo Kanji – Level 68…

Anyway, cleaned Lv 68-70 for now.

No example sentences, not in Core 10k, yet marked as common in JMdict. If there is no entries in デジタル大辞泉 or プログレッシブ和英中辞典, then I would Suspend Note.
