Is there a way to adjust Windows IME to work in the same manner as Wanikani's

Is there an easy way to get Windows IME to work in the same manner as WaniKani’s?

For example, I’m so used to using uppercase for katakana. Having to fiddle around with CTRL and SHIFT+Caps lock is driving me insane.

I don’t know of a way to do that. Not sure if this helps, but you can stay in hiragana mode and then hit F7 after you’re done typing to convert everything to katakana.

Can you not type in hiragana and use the spacebar to change it to katakana?

Man. Both F7 and double space really helps!
What have I been doing!

At least it’s possible with Google IME. I can’t figure out the place to configure for Microsoft IME.

Note that I can’t make it happen with Cap Lock.

I don’t particularly have trouble with Cap + Ctrl / Cap + Alt, though. (i.e. Hiragana / Katakana)
