I need help! I want to export all the items into Anki just like the "WaniKani Sync" addon but I could only fetch up to the level I'm at

I tried everything. From extensions to android apps. Can someone help me?

Havee you tried Item Inspector? It has a powerful export function and it is heavily customizable,

I tried that yesterday, no luck (I don’t think it’s possible to export the sound files). but I’ll try again. right above is the “WaniKani Sync” addon; I think it looks and works great, but somehow it can only fetch up to level 15 (the level I’m at).

Here is the configuration:

I’m no good with scripts and formating, I spent a whole day reading and trying to figure it out. I’m sorry if it sounds dumb but is there another way of getting the cards to work on Anki just like this addon? or a way to mess arround the configuration to make it work
 thanks

Hey there, it’s not a silly question. I fiddled around with the settings of this addon for a long time before I got the hang of it

Turn on auto_sync for the first full sync to get all levels (restart Anki to make it autosync and delete the deck you made the first time). You can make it false again after if you want to use Bury and Suspend cards and make changes in the content of the card like your own mnemonic or allowed correct answers (I use it to allow jp input for Meaning cards that I have already internalised in jp). If you make it false your cards won’t be updated if WaniKani makes updates in its content or if you add your own notes on the WaniKani website so that’s up to you. Be careful with the top left bar with Tools in Anki that has the Wanikani Sync menu in it. Better not to touch it if you’re unsure so you don’t accidentally do a manual sync

If you turn on fetch_context_patterns I think you get the audio files (I have them anyway) but the first sync will take a long time

Have you seen this topic? Anki WaniKani Bidirectional Sync AddOn - #3 by raayu You can ask the developer questions there or on the linked Github page

I have not seen this sync add on before. I’ve been manually copying things over to anki. Radicals and kanji up to my level and only a couple levels of vocab so far. It’s a lot of work.

Ah then you should really check the addon out. It’s also beautifully styled to look just like Wanikani. I’m really enjoying it
