Help with reading exercise

Can someone help me? I really have no clue what is wrong - the correct onyomi looks the same as the one I type with my keyboard.

You have to enter either にん or じん, にんじん is a carrot

oh - is it then like one or the other? Is that what that comma means between the two kanjis? How do I replicate that on my keyboard? I tried putting a comma and it doesn’t work.

Yes, it’s two different readings, you will see it when vocabulary items come up.

What am I doing wrong

Doing my reviews for kanji and I keep getting this sound wrong (う) it is in several kanji and to me, it looks like the hiragana for the sound U but everytime I type it in a kanji meaning it comes up wrong. Example: にゅう which I think is the writing for kanji for enter. That hiragana is also at the end of cross and above. I assume I am seeing it wrong but can’t figure out what other sounds it could be based off the mnemonics given and that fact that I am still very new, lol. Any help would …

It’s にゅう not にゆう You’ll notice the ゆ is small. にゅう Is pronounced Nyuu and にゆう would be Niyuu.

You can just type “Nyuu” into Wanikani and it will convert it, however, if you just need to make the small letter, press “x” and then the letter: あぁ、いぃ、うぅ、えぇ、おぉ、やゃ、ゆゅ、よょ
