Just noticed my first burn is due tomorrow morning!
Congrats! I still got like two months, canāt wait. Really canāt wait until a few weeks after the level 1s start burning and I get to the first stuff I didnāt already know coming in.

I have 31 burned and just reached level 8 today. My reasoning is because I took a couple months off from doing new lessons and just focused on reviews instead. Glad to be moving forward again!

Burns arenāt tied to levels, but time. Burns become available 4 months after enlightening iirc, which would be 6 months after unlocking, assuming no incorrect guesses along the way.
I guess a bit counter intuitively, the higher the level for the first burn, the faster theyāve been progressing. However, being too fixated on levels is probably not a good thing, just go at your own pace

Yeah, I guess I forgot to factor in the variety of paces, and didnāt realise that whole counter-intuitiveā¦ thing.
Yep. Iām level 9 and have my first burns in about 3 months. All kinds of different paces on wanikani
