Extension for Time Studied that Day?

Hi guys, I’ve been searching the forum to see if there was an extension that showed how long you studied that day and can’t find anything. Is there anything like that out there? Thanks in advance!

The Wanikani Heatmap can do this and a lot more.

Thank you! I do have that one but am now realizing it had this function. However, it says I only did 20 minutes of reviews (which may be true but sounds low) but for lessons, it says 0 minutes and I spent a while doing 10 lessons. Am I doing something wrong?

I’ve never really used the feature so I’m not sure how accurate it is or how it calculates things. I’d recommend asking in it’s thread for specifics.

The smallest unit of time measured is 1 minute (although this may change soonish), so if your session is shorter than that it doesn’t count it.

The way it works is that it checks the interval between each submitted review/lesson. If the time difference is larger than a certain value, then it ignores it, otherwise it adds it to the total for the day.

You probably did either

  1. All the lessons in less than 1 minute total
  2. Each lesson in more than 1 minute (which I think is the default timeout duration)

ahh, that would definitely count my lessons wrong, i usually take more than a minute per lesson ^^

Note that it looks at when the lessons were submitted, which would be when you finish the quiz for the item

humm, the quizzes go really fast, yeah… just checked what it told me for today, 26 minutes, which is about half the time i was doing lessons… i mean, i’m not bothered much by it either way, just never thought much about this function, until it got mentioned here ^^

The other way to do it is get a plug-in that shows time spent on a particular website. There should be ones for all the major browsers. Safari on Mac does it natively with Screen Time.
