No!
Thanks for making me aware of its existence. Gotta check it out later! ^>^
This thread is fantastic! I love sea creatures. Especially cephalopods!
I’ve been meaning to post about this movie/documentary, but forgot for some reason. I watched it some time ago, and found it stunningly beautiful and very gripping. Apparently it also got an Oscar - which I totally understand why! ![]()
If you like documentaries and
then you’re in for a treat! ^>^

They’re wonderful to watch while scuba diving, too. I’ve seen a fire sea urchin poop once through the bulbous “eye” on top of its body. That is indeed its butt.
Don’t mind me, I’m throwing confetti! ^-^
So, I happened to read one of the comments to John Oliver’s webspecial about octopuses, something about the male ripping off his own junk and throwing it at the female during mating.
Well, I decided to investigate the claim and came upon this gem of an article by BBC Earth!
Spoiler: octopus reproduction is a varied and complicated business! ![]()
I was not aware that jellyfish, corals and sea anemone are part of the same family Cnidaria.
Nor did I know that jellyfish goes through a metamorphosis stage from polyp to medusa when starting life, so growing on the bottom of the sea before transforming to its mobile medusa form.
Cuttlefish are amazing!

One of the few 8of the legal ones) I don’t own. Have been tempted though cause so darn cute!
One of my lizards are such desert dwellers they don’t even have a water bowl O_o
It totally is!
So purrrretty colors! ^>^

Edit: Also, googling also got me the info that they live in deserts. But, maybe also jungles??? ![]()
Another theory is that the images I found is some other species of gecko, that’s been wrongly named online. ![]()
I bet many of our pet reptiles are kept in one type on environments, but would naturally be found in several kinds.
Nah, that definitely looks like a leopard gecko =)
