I am in for this round of the book club. Reading よつばと！ really built some confidence, as a opposed to when I tried to read No. 6…
So yeah, I have ordered and received my copy of 魔女の宅急便 already so I will add myself to list. I hope to contribute more to this discussion; the last few months have been super intensely busy

Can anyone join? I have wanted to try and start reading a bit, sinve the only reading practice I have at the moment is on hellotalk, and I feel like I should be more involved with trying to retain the kanji I have learned (Im starting to forget kanjis that I learned way back, and that I used to know)

This seems like a cool concept in order to take my first steps, I will probably order it tommorow

i’ve never seen the ghibli* movie, so i’m not sure whether i should watch it before we start so i have an idea of what happens in the book, or if i should go from nothing… both have advantages aha

From what I read in the descriptions of japanese amazon it is not quite the same story. Seems the movie would only give you a rough synopsis instead of something to rely on for reading.
