Now I want gyoza…
I would probably be the same way if I couldn’t eat garlic regularly. So distracted for the whole zashiki.
I wonder how much garlic goes in those gyoza that it would make their breath smell that much

Geh, a cliffhanger…
I’ve honestly never understood the Japanes practice of eating ice cream in a cone with a spoon. You’re supposed to lick cones. Spoons are for cups.
Not sufficiently ladylike, I guess.
First time ever in this series I think? Great chapter, though. I just love the drawing so much.
I can’t believe maiko only get two days off per month! I guess I’d thought they would get weekends off or something
I think it’s not so much that they only get two rest days, and more that they only get two days in which they can let down their hair, because it’s such a production putting it up again. Whenver they go out with their hair up, they still need to stay in character at all times, so hair-down days are the only times they can actually let loose and enjoy themselves.
At least, I hope they get days with no appointments during the month, but given that it’s Japan, I couldn’t be entirely certain…
