Kinda quiet around these parts :eyes:

I just finished up this chunk without too much difficulty (one reading session at the beginning of the week, one at the end).

Two words that stuck out to me as being WaniKani vocabulary used in a completely different fashion than they’re taught here:

  • 翻る Taught as “to turn over”; here used as “to flutter (of a skirt)”
  • 下げる Taught as “to lower something”; here used as “to clear dishes from the table”

I always find it interesting when words I ostensibly know are used in unfamiliar ways.

That’s such an every day usage of that word that I’ve never even thought about the fact that it is, indeed, weird. :rofl:
