Part 3

I feel like Nitta and Nose spent a lot of time talking about the friend of the victim, even though it didn’t end up in any clue. But there is probably more to find there. At least they seem to have a solid theory about the kind of person that is behind the first anonymous tip. (not sure if it’s the same person that tipped about the body in the apartment, that also tipped about the killer being at the party)

I am not seing 日下部 as a potential suspect at all, I think he’s just here so that there are some hardships in Naomi’s life. But of course I could be wrong and it’s like in book 1, one of the customer whose story is resolved, was the murderer after all. He definitely wouldn’t like to have a pregnant girlfriend on the side right now, with all that he’s preparing for the proposal to the future fiancee (though said-future-fiancee sees things differently it seems).

(Also I have the music Memory in my head all the time now! I wish I remembered where I’ve heard it before, as it’s very familiar but I’ve definitely never seen the Cats musical. Though according to Wikipedia the music became popular way beyond the musical)

Summary

Maybe it isn’t, they did use different methods for submitting the anonymous tips, but I’d be surprised if it was different people personally

I liked the section with the future “fiancee”, just to make 尚美’s job even harder.. I think that he’ll say something like “my job is moving me back to Japan” and they’ll end up getting engaged in the end for this one.

It seems like I have a very long way to catch up to you still :joy: you’re definitely finishing this book way before me
Edit: actually maybe not, I ended up borrowing it from my workplace library and forgot that I should probably return it by the 18th… so either I speedrun it before then, or have to buy it somewhere else halfway through..

Haha oops!
I do have a strong head start on everyone it seems, but you can definitely finish it before me
I am slow at reading it, as in it takes me around an hour to read 10 pages, but I am fast at reading it, as in it’s my main read and I’m not in too many book clubs right now
Depending on how busy life is, I think I will be done next week too, or there’s a small chance that I will be done before, towards the end it might get more exciting and I might read faster!
