Part 1
Chapter 1
And we’re back! Same old same old so far, Naomi solving impossible problems at work, like it’s nothing.
Chapter 2
Nitta taking dance lessons, at first I thought that it might be for a new undercover job, or maybe for the NYEs party with Naomi.
But then he got called in at work, and also he was being very flirty with the teacher, so not sure anymore.

Definitely got a bit shocked when it was announced that the victim was pregnant. But then that could also be why someone wanted her to die. Also, they saw on her phone that she texted a client, but they can’t use the same phone to find out who her boyfriend is? 
I was definitely expecting something more dramatic for the letter at the end of chapter 2, something more like “everyone will die at that party” than “the killer will make an appearance”. But it’s an interesting mystery, what is the role of this informant that seems to know so much about the case, if they are not the killer themselves?
Chapter 3
Already answering a few questions already! Seems like 和泉春菜’s relationship was very well hidden, also from her friends, so nothing in her phone. I like the theory of having another phone that was then taken from her.
And then it turns out that this books takes place a few years after the first one already. Doesn’t sound like they are close at all anymore, I wonder what happened (also to be honest, I don’t remember how close they got in book one, just remember that he saved her life thanks to smelling her xD)
Also I think her appartment was on the 6th floor and there was a picture of them in front of it, wondering why they don’t explore where would someone have to stand to take a picture with the same angle?
Excited to read part 2. Wondering if this crime will be solved fast, and then onto the next one, or if it will turn into a bigger thing and take the whole book to be solved. Right now a simple theory could be that a married man had a relationship with 春菜, off’ed her when she found out that she had became pregnant and was going to use it as leverage against him and reveal it all to his wife for example, and maybe the wife is the one giving the anonymous tips cause she knows anyways and doesn’t want the husband to get off easy. (hoping it’s more complicated than that though, because also then as they discussed, she could have maybe just call the police directly on him?)
Indeed… though I’m still in awe of the things she puts up with… I used to think actual people wouldn’t make that kind of requests, but apparently, they do in real life too…
Same… I really don’t know where this idea comes from. On the other hand, it’s always fun to see the kind of stereotype other cultures have about you (and scary to think what kind of stereotype you might have about them). I’m reading BUTTER along with the ABC, and I’m shaking my head at every mention of (supposedly) french cuisine.
I’m hoping for one big case that unfolds along the whole book !

Summary
It gave me second hand stress imagining if that was my job to have to deal with stuff like that…
Internally I just assumed something like: they were interested in each other a bit after book 1, maybe went out to dinner, then 新田 did something wrong (or was too busy with work) and things didn’t work out. It seemed like 新田 was a bit apprehensive of meeting her again? I guess we’ll see
Same, and I think that’s looking like what it’ll be!
