Part 4

So, the proposal is resolved. I don’t know if I have too much to say about it that’s not negative :x
I’ll keep it at the worst two things for me: Nitta just tagging along for no other reason than its own entertainment and Naomi saying “sure, no pb”, and the super romantic proposal with the classic ingredients: romantic live music, chandelier, petals of flowers, oh and please check your phone in case you don’t know what those flowers mean
I’m being negative a bit but I’m enjoying the book  it’s easy to read and flows well, and sure, I am rolling my eyes here and there but it’s good fun.
Getting some good practice with reading without clutches, even discovering some fancy kanji in this part: 喩え for 例え, 顚末 for 顛末

And chapter 15 was nice too, good progress with the case! Elements of the victim’s past are revealed, a cold case is found that looks very similar, and some idea of where to look for the tipper. Crazy if they can be that far away. Maybe they are watching from the hotel?

Summary

I was surprised that she allowed that, even if she can trust him, it seems like an invasion of the privacy of the guest which she wouldn’t allow, for no reason

Basically the same, there’s lots of good parts, nothing spectacular, but it flows well

There’s definitely some kanji/kanji forms which I haven’t seen much since the last マスカレード book, thankfully most of them I can remember after seeing them once or twice.
顚末 I think is relatively common, JPDB says it’s 26% frequency for てんまつ, I’ve seen it a couple of times

Well, they were dealing with being able to see things from the hotel room window at the start of the book, you never know!

Ah good to know, thanks! It was the first time seeing it for me as far as I know!
