I really don’t think it can get any funnier than Naomi correcting Nitta’s バイト敬語  !

On the other hand, I must (really) be getting old : that horrible feeling when you want to look up a kanji and realize you can’t spread-and-zoom on paper :sob: !

It is so tiny x_x I’ve seen some people around here getting a nice setup, with magnifying glass, light, book holder and everything. For me the biggest problem is definitely the lightning, what is this technology that doesn’t even emit light!

Anyways, just finished part 2, it’s starting to flow a bit better already

Part 2

Chapter 4
Hm I found this whole thing with the 和紙 to be a bit confusing. Here’s what I understood, correct me if I’m wrong: Japanese paper can be used to make clothes such as wedding dresses but John White would rather see it used to make some sturdy clothes, more like combat clothes.
Agreed that Naomi explaining how to use polite Japanese to Nitta was great haha. And I also liked him telling her that she doesn’t smell the same as she used to xD
And nice touch, with the name of the party revealed to be the same as the name of the book at the end of the chapter.

Chapter 5
Hm 氏原 is definitely suspicious. Showing up one day early at work (who does that?), and he seemed to know about the customer coming in later, just like he wanted to be here himself specifically to greet him. Could also just be that he didn’t trust a fake hotel man to do the job for such an important customer (the price of the stay, ouch) (also I’m totally with the guest on that one, stop telling me basic hotel stuff I already know and let me get to my room already, it’s pretty late)

Chapter 6
Didn’t have so much to say here.
Three more days before the party, hopefully some fun stuff will happen before, and they will find some clues!

I found him more (highly) annoying, and bound to realise that he’s vastly prejudiced and wrong (as in either unknowingly facilitating the murder or getting in way over his head and needing saving) than suspicious, but now that you mention it ….

He could also just be plain annoying to be fair, I think it’s because we are reading a crime novel, I am definitely being over suspicious of everyone, trying to see if they could be a potential suspect or not :eyes:

Summary

Yeah, and if you’re spending so much on a room, you’d expect the staff to pick up on the fact that you’re tired and don’t want an explanation then, ホテルマン失格
