死に - death, dying // は - as for // しません - he won’t do
➝ He won’t die.
I am more confused about とするか. Is this a supposition? ‘Suppose I send out the ace up my sleeve…?’

I think 終わらす is a contracted causative. But here too we see とするか. I feel like it must be a grammar point…?
