• Once you get through Chapter 44 and the first area, you will now be able to access Bledavik again. If you gave the kid 1000G he has a store that sells minor healing items that if you idle in he will drop the price on to 60G. You can also resell these at Nortune for a higher price than what you bought, if you’re feeling entrepreneurial.
• You can also return to Nortune to Gear Battle and earn BP, exchanging them for items, including one more Ether Doubler, Deathblower3, and Speed Shoes

• None. Well, the Gear Battle shop might have some unique items (I’ll check later) but it’ll be available for a while

Week 25

ehehe. Shakan not being able to attack because his power hose is too short is such a silly design flaw. Created to harness ultimate power!! Or not That said, this boss becomes very annoying if he gets to the ‘heal every turn’ stage. Rush him down or he takes forever to beat.

SBOOG is so mean to ramsus in their scene this week good grief. Good thing he’s got a warrior harem to help cheer him up!

Week 25

Damn we are so many. I’m not cooking for everybody.

I like that the game makes us split in teams, else I might always ever use the same three.

Not feeling like playing additional content /going for the battle gear or exploration, just went straight to business this week!

(Ab)used Elly’s エアッド too for the combat in the Babel tower, felt weird, she went first, and they were dead, end of combat. I have no idea if it was supposed to be an easy fight or a hard one. Same for the repeat fight!
On the other side Bart and Rico struggled a bit, finished the first fight with not enough health so got taken down on the second fight, had to try again. Was also a funny twist that Billy didn’t aim right the first time, oopsy.

Shop glitch

I can confirm the shop glitch works in the JP version and even when emulating.

After the coronation ceremony, go to Nisan and save in the shop. Reset the game and load the save. The shop is now the old one with ether doublers and holy pendants (you will know because the shopkeep speaks less). Once you leave the shop it resets.

Not much to say this week. The Shakan boss fight was annoying. I tried twice before giving in and bringing Elly with ED + 2 power magics + E circuit. Over 8k damage haha.

I don’t think the Sigurd reveal was intended to be a surprise this point, but it’s cool that the previous king did think of him as a son.

I actually got thru part of next week too before my decks battery died, but I’ll wait until I finish to comment probably.

Can’t say I’ve heard うぬ (汝) regularly, fits グラーフ though. Always dealing more power and then we just beat up whoever he leveled up.

Even フェイ is wondering this, lol. Feels almost like breaking the fourth wall a bit.

I guess I’ve been rushing a bit since this fight actually took some time and even abusing エリィ’s power didn’t solve the fight right away… do I need a second パワーマジック?

Lots of exposition! It’s a big band already.

I was surprised by ミァン supposedly not knowing who they were..? I think she put ドミニア in her place once already. Or was this just her acting and playing ラムサス as usual?

Just looking at your screenshots, I would guess that ミァン is expressing doubt about leaving the job up to them over Ramsus, rather than asking who they are. Then again, it’s been a while since I played through this scene myself so maybe there’s other dialogue showing otherwise

Yeah, I guess expressing doubt is the correct way to read this, rather than an open ended question or surprise. She would have to know that we’ve met and beaten them before…

The screenshots I posted are their first sudden appearance in a while. It’s unclear how much contact they’ve had previously, but it’s clear that she doesn’t think highly of them.

The previous encounter between ミァン and ドミニア doesn’t really tell much either, apart from ミァン clearly having the upper hand.

She is trying to keep ラムサス from doing the job as well, but is it just another instance of egging him on?

I don’t remember much of that interaction, but あなた達は? would have been used I think, if she was asking who they were.
あなた達が?, is more “so it is YOU who are doing XXX?” (where of course XXX is omitted…)

Heh, five years into more serious Japanese study and I’m still stuck on nuance differences between は and が! I thought I had this in the bag already.

3. Familiar Topics
When both you and your listener already know what you’re talking about.
A: 田た中なかさんは？
B: 田た中なかさんは病びょう気きです。

Both people know who Tanaka-san is, so は marks this familiar topic.

If she had used は here, shifting the topic to them, I think I wouldn’t have batted an eye – she would have known who they are, and just gently played her part in the exchange. To me が somehow generally suggests new information or situation.

But on the same page:

Emotional and Emphasis Patterns

Strong Emphasis with が

が can add emotional weight or surprise:
君きみが言いうのか！
Kimi ga iu no ka!
“YOU’RE the one saying that?!” (Emphasis on disbelief)

I’m now 100% sure this is why が was used, and the follow-up line by ドミニア basically answers the unasked question of whether they’d be up to it. ミァン has so far been very diplomatic and soft in front of ラムサス so the が here feels almost like an accusation!

Yeah like your first example shows, は would make it “what’s up with X?” which would be great if they were not around, but wouldn’t fit here!
But は isn’t impossible here either, if she had say in the previous sentence something like: “hey I’m busy making food. Youは?”. So depends a lot on the context, as always
