やがて君になる -- Bloom into you Vol. 1 (Book club)

ahhhh, Yu continues to amaze me! 先輩、どれだけ私のこと好きなんですか? this line, spoken so casually, so directly, so bravely! And Nanami Senpai gives the best answer! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

on another note, i’ve got half a dozen pages left on chapter 4, and then there’s only one chapter left. are you all planning to continue with the next volume? i definitely will continue reading, this is a lot of fun! but if we want to continue as a group, and you guys have paper editions, you might need to start thinking about getting the next volume ^^

I would like to continue and I have the paper books for vols 1, 2, and 3!

(I might’ve gotten them as a gift from the translator :smirk::heart_eyes:)

All this talk is making me want to actually reread the series… but I really shouldn’t!

Me and my 8 babies are also ready to continue! You guys gave me the motivation to finally tackle all these so I’m sticking by as long as ya’ll are here  Btw I love the cover of volume 4, the casual looking Nanami is giving me the vibes :joy: Which one do you like the most?

I’m starting chapter 4 today, I’m getting FOMO from all your talking about it haha

I have all the rest of the volumes as well. I would definitely be into reading the second volume too, but I need a slight break. I thought that we could aim to start it at the beginning of May? That would give people enough time to get the volume, if they do not have it already as well.

Are you planning on reading the second volume with the book club?

  • No
  • Not sure yet

Edit to add. For the second volume, there is no Koohi, so we would need to do an Excel sheet for the vocab.

I’d like to join for volume 2! I just started reading volume 1 last week so start of May would work great for me–I can definitely catch up by then (and hopefully my amazon jp order will also be here by then, so I’ll have a physical copy instead of ebook).

I can start the next volume whenever works for folks  I’ve been doing all my reading in big chunks on one or two nights each week. It’s easy to fit in whenever.

@Bronka Volume 7 has such a nice relaxing feel with the blue and that pose :blue_heart:

The beginning of May works for me. A short break will be good to catch up and get those volumes where needed

@hoodsandhats she looks a bit sad there though, I’m sensing some drama  haha

I started a few pages of chapter 4 yesterday, was dying at how Nanami panicked in front of Koito’s mom because she’d seduced her daughter :joy: And then turned into the perfect senpai in a matter of seconds haha

i won’t rush ahead then - at least not too much

(i might finish volume 1 tonight  )

i continue to admire Koito ^^ she’s the kohai in the relationship, and while Nanami definitely is the instigator, Koito is so good at reading situations. and she then takes the decisive action/says the decisive thing which allows Nanami to say what she can’t otherwise say. and that then leads to precious moments of emotional intimacy. she’s amazing

I might be able to join for volume two! Although that means I actually need to get a copy of volume two…

Brilliant! So, let’s do a 1 May start for the second volume. I will set up a new thread for it with the Google sheet for vocabulary etc. Those of you who cannot contain themselves (cough, cough, @Mrs_Diss, cough, cough :joy:), feel free to start adding to the vocab sheet.

@hoodsandhats, I think @Bronka is right. Having looked at the cover of vol. 7, Koito looks quite sad. I have to use every ounce of my willpower not to sneak any looks into the other volumes, though.

All you gotta do is read faster instead. :upside_down_face:

At the same time I also want to prolong it, once it’s over, it’s over.

Ah, yes I’m exactly the same way when reading something I like.

I created the thread for volume 2, head over there to check things out. :grinning:

I added 3 May as the start date, because it is a Monday and my brain just prefers that. Sorry.

AAAAHHHHH, finished chapter 4. Yuu is such a tease! That whole, how much d you love me line? Nanami was cute, though and I also love the gift she got Yuu. If I ever saw something like that, I would definitely buy it.

Have to focus on grammar for the next few days, but then ready to tackle chapter 5! Beginning of May is soooo far away, though. But I also have loads of work commitments in the meantime, so hoping it will fly by (not really, because I need time to finish stuff for work, but vol. 2…).

Sorry I’ve been completely missing, I’ve been running on a hectic mind and got barely any reading done. I’ve read chapters 1 and 2 last week, and I plan to read 3 and 4 this week, and maaaaaaaybe chapter 5 if I’m feeling fresh. You are supposed to start chapter 5, if I’m not mistaken?

Hopefully the next volume I will be able to read along with you all!

Once we’re done with Volume 1 and while we wait until the start of Volume 2, maybe we can have a brief review and grammar/vocabulary discussion about things we found tricky? Just an idea!

yeah, chapter 5 is this week ^^ (oops)

the idea of having a bit of a review next week is good ^^ i don’t know how much i can participate, as i’m pushing it a bit with reading this. but i’d definitely read along ^^

Last week, last chapter!!! How is everyone doing?

@rikaiwisdom that’s a great idea, we could definitely do a bit of a grammar/ vocab discussion. Good luck with the chapters! Chapter 3 was quite easy and waaaay less text than in the previous chapters!

I’ve been hurrying to catch up so I can join in on volume 2, and was planning to reread once I was done anyway, so I’d definitely be up for some review between volumes.
