Why the rush?

The combination of Alakazam + “kwehhh?” just broke my mind

My next goal is to get good at speaking so I can impress senpai when I visit them :jp: :green_heart:

Ohhhhh, good idea! Now the question is, what kind of persona would I adopt on my secondary account? Should I go for the I’m-going-to-beat-you-all-cuz-I’m-so-superior character that usually gives up and never comes back after a month (max), but this time they actually stick around to hunt us all? :scream:

A subscription to WaniKani costs money. I don’t have much money so I’d like to get this done as soon as possible. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve been going relatively slowly and it’s suiting me quite well, if lessons are available I might do 10 or so per day, if I feel like I’ve been doing my reviews well… if I’ve had too many reviews, or i’ve failed quite a lot of reviews during the day, i won’t do any lessons.
Don’t want to feel over-burdened as learning japanese is supposed to be a fun thing for me to do.

Almost to the end indeed!
Nice to see someone else who started in 2012. (I think @Ninkastmin also joined around that time?)
Not that people should still be around, mind you

Feeling a sense of purpose can be addicting, especially for some that struggle to achieve that feeling with the available societal resources. I think of it like an empty pool I’ve always managed. Suddenly, some liquid began filling it. But, only at a pace the unknown source sees fit. I can choose to find more holes leading to that source or heck, new sources. I am obviously not the kind of person who lives to fill the empty pool or I would have applied effort in the past. I try to appreciate the free liquid and know that a full pool awaits me some time ahead.

I’m getting there as well, the thought recently popped up in my head is that if there were any other slow users before my time that are still just getting around to finishing for the first time. Glad to see it’s not too uncommon. It’s truly been a rough journey fraught with much peril of sicknesses, motivation, job hours, vacation, low review scores, flying durtles and fake cake.

Because I want to know the kanji to help with learning japanese, and I want to do it as quickly and efficiently as possible.

A bit later, but yep. I joined Feb 2014
But just like you, actually started to use the system almost a year ago, and what a year it has been, you’ll be golden in no time

Well, there are a lot of people here (me included :raised_hand::yellow_heart: ) getting inspiration from your 368 days journey, it is one of the fastest ever.

Fast levels are not a joke

A perfect run would take 351 days and 6 hours to finish (If my numbers are correct)
There’s no much you could gain polishing off those 17 days, because I like to think that you like to sleep
But you could try to be as near as possible to a 100% accuracy, for me that’s a bigger deal.
Or do both, for the lulz

First kanji is on the N2 vocab list as part of 耕すso I am upsettingly close to being able to read this.

this time around, you’d go hardcore.
not 100%, reset a level.

you up for the challenge?

Just imagine you get to the 20s, which is when I think you start burning stuff when going max speed. Review comes up for a level one item, you can’t remember it, miss, reset to 1 :sob:

It’s worse than all those games with permadeath just because it takes months to get that progress back

I’m sure some people would love it, though.

To be honest, I’m level 20 now but I might wait a little bit before I graduate to level 21 because the WK team is currently writing new context sentences for levels 21 to 30. They’ve done this for levels 1-10 and 11-20 but all vocabs from level 21 only has one context sentence at the moment. With any luck, they’ll be done with levels 21-30 any day now.

was the better answer.

Or they’ll be done several months from now. There’s really no way of knowing unless you ask.

I don’t mind waiting. If they’re done several months from now, then I’ll just wait until then.
