Iโm not sure I fully understood this either. The second half of the verb is to crush. I took it more as he is boasting that he could beat the ghost.

In one of the earlier Stories the Word for Gossip/rumour was combined with another Word to a new Word. But I donโt know which Stories it was.
Sounds better than my translation.
I really hate it that there are so many words that have so many completely different meanings.

You are right that ใใใใฆ means (itโs) dark and โฆ Itโs the ใ Adjective ใฆ connecting form.

I once read a comic strip (I think it was in The New Yorker, but I couldnโt find it online) where a man and a woman nearly ran into each other rounding a city cornerโฆ He moved left to avoid at the same time she dodged in the same directionโฆ So then he moved right to give way, but she had also adjusted course to the same direction. And then they tangoed it was called "streetcorner dance* โฆ Very well done!

For me with the previous chapters it felt like:
- too hard
- a bit easier because I learned Something
- too hard again
If you Play Videogames I would describes it as this: I Just started the Game and the monsters have a higher Level than my Charakter. Then my Character Levels Up and the Game becomes easier. But then the monsters get suddenly a big Level Up and I struggle again to Fight them.
