Prologue spoilers (kinda): I forgot what 模型 meant and assumed they were exhibiting new chemistry equipment or something. The realization that they were anime figurines was much funnier than it was probably supposed to be .
Prologue is spicy, but it understandably slows down after that. The web of connections that is being spun is a bit contrived to me, but whatever, I can deal with it. (Also I completely forgot that Setsuko is Saikawa’s sister.)
The prologue was interesting! Good setup for the book. I learn the “word” 社会人入学. Is it unusual to enroll in education while getting paid for working at a firm? In Norway that’s normal. Someone going from working 100% to maybe 50% and study 50% on the side for a master’s degree (2-3 years).
