@Tashi and @strangelearner, this script:

You need to be using the Ultimate Timeline script too for this one to work.

You’re using an android phone, right? There’s an app with all the scripts you need installed to make lessons/reviews for Android :slight_smile:

I can never do reviews without scripts! I suck at spelling even on my best days, and often do reviews in half dazed tired states, I need the ignore script =P
I use an app that has the ignore script though. there should be apps both for apple and android with some selected scripts included =)

Oh it was more of a “try me” as in “I accept the challenge of drinking loads of coffee” but… good to know

It’s not cheating really. The srs system is supposed to move it forward if you where able to recall it right, and back if you had forgotten. If you hadn’t forgotten, you just hit the wrong key, it would be wrong to go back. I’m also not an English native, so can sometimes struggle to find the exact word or phrasing used, but know the exact meaning. And some words I just can’t spell close enough to get a correct (and I don’t care, I’m here to learn Japanese, not improve my English (that is a side effect though =P ))
I am strict with the Japanese spelling. It has to be exactly right or actual typo (I say it out loud before typing, and if I said it right but hit the wrong key I KNEW the word, so going back two steps is wrong)

It’s important not to misuse. If it was forgotten it should be sent back. If you picked the wrong reading (jin vs nin) then it was wrong. And I do. I mostly use it on pure typos or when I put the reading on meaning and hit enter to quick. I have ADD so my concentration skills are horrible :wink: If I let every typo affect rather than what I actually remembered right I would have to keep repeating words I already know, that is more wrong.

I just did the review for 年次 and answered with “every year” instead of annual. I could have typed it as “ammual” and would get it wrong. Is that fair? :smiley:

It really depends if you’re going to cheat on yourself or not.
