WaniKani Review Order - (Radical/Kanji/Vocab order) Userscript Extension

Thank you EskimoJo. You are the only one who didn't ignore it. I... I.. just want people to like me *breaks down and cries*

lol

i’d love this script for lessons (i know, it’s not possible currently), but i don’t need it for reviews

there is one interesting thing though in alucardeck’s post: it means, that there can never be more than 10 half-answered items at any time in the current system. and it gives an idea how WK selects the items and why most of the time the two halves of a review are relatively close together and why there are some rare cases where they are far apart.

I remember viet saying somewhere that reviews are loaded in tens

This is great for times when I have to go somewhere and new radicals/kanji are due for review soon (among a ton of vocab).
Also, if viet makes lessons work client-side this is going to be the best thing ever :D
alucardeck said...Well its possible, because there is no problem getting Lessons wrong, so i could force skipping Vocabs lessons, until its Radicals/Kanjis.

I don't think that would work since you're eventually forced to do the minireview no matter if you read the lessons or not.

I still think if they made it a requirement to get the previous level’s vocab to guru (say 75%) before you can level up the current level to the next level, then they could make the lessons client side and we could use this app for lessons AND reviews without Koichi worrying that vocab will be neglected.

e.g. you are on level B, your level A vocab should be 75% guru’d (as well as 90% of level B kanji of course) before you can progress to level C.

This would make vocab as important as it should be, but shouldn’t slow us down any more than we are now.

Then people would be stuck on level 1 forever. ;)

Eskimojo help me. death levels are kicking my ass T_T

Aight, I tested this since I just got the first review session of level 23, I noticed an abundance of kanji packed together at the beginning, nice stuff!

I am liking this.

My last level was over 10 days and I start full time work on Monday... :-/
Soooooo..... I'mmmm reeeeallllyyyy gooooiiiinnngg to slooooowwwww doooooowwwwwnnn... Bah!

Update (^:

Version 0.2:

- Scripts starts after 10 seconds, this will give enough time to your browser loads all the reviewQueue (lower time may cause problems to a big reviewQueue and/or slow machines).

- Removed 9 of 10 random items at beginning, now you just have to make the first random item (i will not change it), i clean the others items in the ActiveQueue, send them back to ReviewQueue to be ordered, then i get the first 9 items from the ordered ReviewQueue.

- Added a display count of how many items of each type you still have to do, just below the Status info. (i may remove this feature in the future and add it in the WK True Result userscript)

Please give me feedbacks about how we can improve this.

All my reviews have been low numbers! Will feed your back in the morning.

That sounded gay, even from a woman.... =(

It is now either all or 9 blue for the first ten. Cool.

Sorry, I have no improvement ideas at the moment…

Awesome looking update, will test now…

The new version works great

I forgot about the display count. I don't have it! Do I need to force an update? Anyway, apart from that the feature is brilliant! I urgently need to get some things done before 1pm for work on Monday, so I was able to get all the kanji and rads out of the way in an 110 item review and leave 40 vocab. Thanks Alucardeck!
Hope the back feeding was to your satisfaction! ;-)

Yep. Reinstall it from the link provided in the first post. Updating through Tampermonkey didn't work for me.
