WaniKani level icons?

I got to level 5 today! Yay! But, as you can see here, my little “icon-thingy” still says “04”. I don’t even know what else to say about this.

Something seems to be out of sync between my WaniKani level (4 since yesterday) and the little level indicator next to my profile picture here. Do I need to do something to fix?

Just log out of WK - both Dashboard and forums - and then go back on and the level flair should sync.

I know this is dumb, but how do I log out on forums?

Click on your avatar in the upper right corner. Click on the “person” symbol and at the bottom of the menu should be the log out option.

Unfortunately, this is a bug. Here is how you can observe it:

No, it’s a glitch. You can observe that (if you don’t log out in the meantime) the moment you level up next time, it will stay at the same level (because you now logged out and back in), but if you level up after that, at that exact moment it will jump one level, but it will always stay at the level before your current one. (I recently realized that this is also true if you reset - I reset twice in short succession, and after the second reset it jumped to the level that I first reset to)…

I went into the forum settings & manually overrode the level badge to 23 while it was available. I’ve leveled up quite a bit in the months since doing that
