There’s been a bug lately where WaniKani is not syncing properly with the Community and says that I am on level 9 even though I got to level 10 a few days ago. Other people have been experiencing this also.

Yeah this has affected some users for a while now, did you try logging out and back in again?

Happened with me as well when I reached level 10, it wouldn’t update on the forums. As others have already said, just log out and log in, somehow fixes it

Regardless of the workaround, something is still wrong with the syncing functionality and it’s worth mentioning to the dev team that it’s a persistent problem.

I seriously wanted it to happen to me to be a little while more in Death, but i was not blessed by this curse.
Though it happened suddenly and to pretty much everyone. That was weird
We’ve got the bug on the old bug list.
The standing theory is that the syncing works just fine (since we’re not seeing server-side error messages and most people are seeing the level up most of the time), but instead it’s something about the caching of the user badges in Discourse. That might be why logging out and logging back in again seems to fix the problem.
We’ll keep an eye on it and see if we can come up with something that invalidates that cache on the Discourse side.

Same problem here: I reached level 61 yesterday, but it just won’t show here on the forum.
