I’m trying to move weight a tad bit more to the listening and reading. I’m right now failing miserably at it. That 45 min with VN felt like work. Also I’m still at around half way N4 on BP, so I decided to restart doing lessons. My reviews there dropped to around 100 now so I think it’s doable from time to time.

Given that my leech count has gone way up, I’m changing the way I’m doing the reviews. Up to now I used the SRS perset from Reorder Omega and that helped mi with keeping up with the lessons, but in the long run it has hardwired my brain to always trying to recall from the most recent items.

In the Item Inspector I added an “Overdue” table. There are over 311 items that are past 2 times of the SRS period (including mostly Enlightened, too many of which I haven’t seen for over a year )

I’m adding two new metrics Overdue count, and Leeches count

For now I’m focusing on the Overdue - I added a new perset to Reorder omega to sort by the overdue value. I’m expecting Leeches to skyrocket, but after I deal with the overdue items, then I’ll think of a leech crushing strategy.

30 srs ascending order

Shuffle the above and then add the rest sorted by leech score

That way the first 50 reviews will always have a random chance of having something old or difficult

Now that I’m done with the most overdue items I’ll still tackle the remaining ones. It felt good to be able to keep up with the lessons and burning old items. Along the way I’ve tweaked a little the mix

now it is:
10 most overdue + 2 master most overdue + 10 guru II most overdue + top 8 leeches + 20 SRS ascending and shuffle all. I’ve added the master and guru II because I’ve seen them growing out of proportion (guru II mostly because of me failing the enlightened, and master as a precaution taken because of those guru II).

I know it looks a bit hacky, but it’s what I feel comfortable right now, and is far less hacky then what I was doing earlier (only sorting by SRS)
