So i’ve been lazy lately. 2875 reviews to do and I need some motivation. I’m going to update this topic every now and then (hopefully daily) to track my progress. No strict form - If I’ll do anything japanese related I’ll post it here

I’ve also come back from an extreme backlog in the past and my biggest piece of advice would be to ignore that number of reviews and get into a habit doing whatever is comfortable for you every day. When I was addressing my backlog I did 100 in the morning and 100 at night. The biggest thing that helped was I would limit the amount of time I gave myself so even if I was getting a lot wrong, I was firing through reviews in short sessions. It’s surprising how quickly you can get back on track. I believe you can do it!

I hope I’ll pick up the pace cause mostly I was staring blankly at the word/kanji with a Gandalf at the Moria intersection face.
Also I did three reviews (failed) on BP and called it a day.

sometimes this happens with my anki reviews. i just commit to doing 10 mins every day until its low enough for me to add new words/a new lesson. this way i don’t feel burnt out while slowly lowering my reviews.

I worked around my problem with ocr’ing text from VN and then later using Yomitan, after almost good shot with VN Translator app (was to varying in terms of output), and not that good app that.. ehkem.. I myself (definitely not github copilot, no no… ) had written.
The solution:
I already have github copilot for my work, so I’m using web chat pasting screens and Yomitan to reference the words.
Also when I give up because there’s a lot of abbreviations or slang - I have a prompt to just explain every part in detail.

Today I wanted to really pick up the pace but it backfired on me - sessions with 10% accuracy, no recollection of kanji even after the post review check. I was considering level reset before this, but I wanted to give myself time, trying to push through the reviews for at least a month. Now my resolve is weakening.
2684 review to go (yay), but those 133 incorrect ones will be back soon. Yikes.
