would recommend starting with the ABBC books
I read this series and found it pretty easy (doesn’t start out the happiest story) but it’s pretty easy to read and easier than takagi to start…
of course you can take your time browsing around … see what interests you … if you pick something and it’s too hard, can always drop it and come back later and pick up something else.

not really a thread… (though now discord and a lot of the us internet is iffy)… don’t worry it’s not your computer or network… quite a few backbone things are acting up…
but on one of the @taiyousea discord servers one of the groups is
we all just try to read 2 pages a day… it’s more for fun… eating or stealing cookies 
(and occasional bullying)
I read two more pages of an early graded reader. I like being able to read some of my first readers.
There’s also the related series, 「あしたは土曜日」.
Chapters are five pages long, so there’s no need to try to follow context over more than a few pages.

now there is no doubt in my mind you are getting a kickback from every manga sold by this mangaka 
The first three volumes of からかい上手の高木さん are free to read on BookWalker for a couple more days. It’s a great way to try out the series before buying!

Bought all volumes in 2025, I think after seeing this post from Jintor.
I really liked it! It was good that I had bought all the volumes, for once 
Was a bit sceptical at first, and thought that the target audience for this one might be horny (male?) teenagers, but it turned out to be a bit more serious and the story definitely grew on me, so I’m glad I kept on reading.
Also the drawings are really nice and I think the “world building” is well done, very realistic, shows you well how daily life is in Japan for teenagers (well, not accounting for the extraordinary events that are plot related of course).
Maybe I shouldn’t have been so surprised, seeing as it’s from 押見 修造 (it was mentioned in the post that made me buy the series, but I had forgotten by the time I started) who is also behind ハピネス. I had loved ハピネス and the characters stayed with me for a long time. I think it’s going to be the same for this one. (it’s a bit harder to recommend this one or to nominate it for a book club though, due to a lot of NSFW content)
Planning on reading more of their work, would like to read both 血の轍 and 惡の華 one day!
I gotta get in the mood for a psychological thriller but I do genuinely want to read that one day lol

Another month of all digital tsundoku finishes. I read 2 volumes of Harta (I like both covers but especially the astronaut one):
And I finished the fourth book in the Yakumo series! This is my last Yakumo tsundoku, I bought books 2-4 in February 2024.
Manga tsundoku: Dungeon Meshi and Naruto!
Dungeon Meshi 1 is the only volume that counts as tsundoku for me, but it’s a proper good tsundoku read because I got it as a freebie in April 2024 when it was very much outside of my reading level, and I’ve held onto it ever since, thinking ‘one day I’ll be able to read it!’ I think it’s extra satisfying to finally get to read those types of things that I got as a beginner/less experienced reader.
Naruto 17 is my last tsundoku Naruto purchased before this year.

Forgot to update this but I finished two books, both of which qualify!
Butter - bought December 2025 (ぎりぎり！) I finished on the 14th. I didn’t actually like it 
You can see my Natively review here if you’re interested but I think the general vibe of the book club was “good elements, bad execution”.
動機 - Also purchased December 2025! I really enjoyed this short story collection - you can see my Natively review here. If you like crime and short stories I think this would be a good option. It’s listed as L39 on Natively but that’s because it’s put into a “series” (there is no continuity 
) on there and 64 (an excellent book!) is rated that and does deserve that rating. That said, I don’t know if 動機 does too. It felt pretty easy to read, certainly 30s but maybe 34 instead of 39, ya know?
Next up will be 殺戮にいたる病 which I bought in November 2022 and have long promised @bungakushoujo I would read. I’m pleased to say of the other 3 books in that order from Rakuten I’ve already read two and partially read the other one 
Would be interested in opinions for this one. Have it seen pop up here or there. So do update if you make progress.
