I reported it on the book’s page the same day as I left my review (or maybe even before since it was clear early on it’s not really part of a true series) but haven’t seen a reply to my report yet so I assume the librarians are working through their backlog.
Bought it in 2022 and I can’t remember why
According to my texthooker it was 634k long.
I liked it OK. I liked a lot how it was built together. But maybe I’m heartless, the parts of the story that I feel were written to move you, didn’t move me at all :x
I have to admit I haven’t been focusing very hard on finishing tsundoku books But at least a lot of my manga buying this month has been stuff I’ve read right away, so that doesn’t add to the tsundoku! (At least, that’s how it feels, but the numbers might tell a different story when I actually count up what I bought)
I finished 2 volumes of harta, volumes 82 and 83. (Purchased in Dec. 2025)
I also finished one digital novel tsundoku read, 成瀬は天下を取りにいく. I bought this in October 2025, because I kept seeing it around on bookwalker/bookmeter, so it was satisfying to finish.
I also finally finished a physical tsundoku read! This was 夜市. Okay, full disclosure, it was half a physical read and half a digital read. That’s because the paperback version I bought on CDJapan turned out to be an edition that only had the first story in it!! So I had to buy the digital book to read the second story. I don’t think that’s cheating or anything since I meant to buy the whole book as a physical, I was just inadvertently hoodwinked.
Wow, typing this up makes me feel like I’m not making any progress on my pile at all Oh well, let me count up what I bought so I can feel even more shamed
digital books purchased/acquired the last 2 months: 25 - 4 (read immediately) = 21
I just found this thread and I have a box of books to get through from 2025. The box is from the 6th month and I also bought ゆびさきと恋々 in the 5th month of 2025 to read along with the book club and then, fell off after a couple weeks iirc. I have said to myself that I won’t buy any physical books until I get through the box so part of me is glad for the procrastination lest my wallet be empty and/or I’m drowning in books lol.
I really do need to read a bit more though so here I go:
ゆびさきと恋々 - 1
月刊少女野崎くん - 1-3
城下町のダンデライオン - 1
僕らは魔法少年 - 1-7
カードキャプターさくら - 1-12
Hopefully I can read at least some of this in the upcoming months, or this month!
Welcome and good luck!!
I haven’t had any updates in a while, traveled a bit last month and strategically decided to buy and read new novels instead of my stack of manga, somehow I wouldn’t feel super comfortable reading manga on the train as a grown up
Finished the 7 volumes I had! (which was the sequel of the 3 volumes of QQスイーパー I had read previously, or rather just the same series but it changes name after the first 3 volumes)
I won’t be continuing reading the series, as I didn’t find the plot very interesting, and it got worse by the volume in my opinion :x (and it is continuing for at least 18 volumes)
Still very guilty of enjoying the romantic moments though, being in love sounds so nice :x
I also think it was really good for my language learning, lots of dialog and I could feel while binging the volumes that I was getting better and better at reading them. Pretty simple, while at the same time it has some very exotic kanji I had never seen before and that sometimes even Mokuro couldn’t recognize (逑, 戎, 穢, 贄, 捗, 豹, 涅槃, 毅, 萎, 嶽, 齎, 攫, 朴, 梺, 撫, 棺 …). Fun mix!
I was also thinking that all the manga that are on my tsundoku pile are volumes that I own digitally, so I never got to see the actual “pile”.
Thought it would be funny to visual it, so I made a visualization! (cause it’s much funnier than just writing “read: 67/191”)
It’s basically just an Excel file where each row is one of the manga volume that was on my tsundoku at the start of 2026 (first pile).
Had to zoom out quite a lot so that the first pile is not cut on the picture haha.
Then the second pile is the same but I removed the things that I have read this year, and put them in the third pile. Maybe I should color the different series or something.
Anyway, it shows, I already made good progress this year!!
Well, it’s unceremonious, but I have all my raw notes on what I read since whenever the last time I posted was, in rough order of whenever I happened to get around to writing them. This covers quite a change in my status quo, but I’ve sure been reading a lot lately thanks to the new commute and perhaps now that I’ve finally closed the book on all these I can be said to be fully acclimated to my new everyday.
