Iâm just old enough not to be familiar with Carey in the role.
âremember to spay or neuter your petsâ
I had a lot of fun reading this chapter. The game is not possible in Turkey, though. Prices change daily, sometimes up to 3 times a day. ![]()
Ah, American cultureâŠMe who feels out of the loop:

We need our own Bob Barker and Drew Carey ![]()
This is what I was referencing. ![]()
Hopefully these arenât region-restricted:
âYounger Bob Barkerâ episode:
âOlder Bob Barkerâ episode:
(That commercial at 48:02 sure takes me back!)
I didnât get to this weekâs chapter yet to see what price prank may be going on, but I did watch The Price is Right often when visiting my grandmother every summer and winter as a youth.
omg I feel oldâŠdidnât watch them but I hope you found a one with plinko !
I really enjoyed it! Nishikata is always so sweet when there are animals involved.
Letâs see what Nishikata is forgetting this week with ćżăăăź
- I will be reading along!
- Iâve already read it!
- I will catch up later!
- I wonât be reading (anymore)
Thanks for indirectly reminding me that the new volume of ăć„œăăȘćăăăăăćżăăă came out last week. I was busy that weekend and something else came up after, so I completely forgot!
Think that one got an anime too!
It did, but Iâve found that for some series, an anime adaptation just doesnât work very well. That would be my expectation for this one, but I could be wrong. (I tried to find if there was any legal way I could watch it, but no luck.)
I watched some of the previews, and the voices for the two main characters just donât sound right to meâŠ
On topic: I wonder what Iâd think of the voices in the Takagi-san anime.
Personally, I love them. They feel perfect to me.
But I also have a strong bias for Takahashi Rie. ![]()
Me looking at a list of anime Takahashi Rie has been in:
"Donât know this one.
"Donât know this one.
"Ah, this isâŠno, donât know it.
"Donât know this one.
"Donât know this one.
"Finally, School-Live! is one I know. But I donât recall this characterâs voiceâŠ
âNope, donât know this one (x100)â
I donât know anything anime post-2015, and know only little post-2010âŠ
Haha. She has gotten more popular in recent years, so yeah, you wouldnât know her very well in that case, but Iâm a huge fan of her performances in Konosuba, Re:Zero, and Oshi no Ko.
ok ready for next week!!! yeah!!! so tempting to keep reading âŠ
but shouldnât get too far ahead
I havenât looked into it myself, but Iâve heard from other fans of the manga that they didnât really like the anime for ć„œăăȘćăăăăăćżăă so far.
Regarding the Takagi-san anime, I think itâs great. I might even say itâs better than the manga.
As for this chapter, itâs honestly one of my favorites. It really epitomizes how much Nishikataâs attempts at avoiding teasing tend to amplify it like crazy, such as being caught trying to sneak out or lying about not seeing any couples.
Veering off-topic: ć„œăăȘćăăăăăćżăă
One of the preview videos shows a lot of really weird camera angles, distortions, and offputting CG movements. I think I read this is only used in the opening theme portion and/or some between-class transitions. I also read itâs something this studio has done in another anime. (Iâm not passing adjustment beyond just this aspect, as itâs the main thing Iâve seen.)
I do know the first two volumes of the manga took a bit for me to get into. Like, I wanted to like the series, but it felt like there was untapped potential that kept me reading with home. For me, it did improve in later volumes to the point I want to keep reading.)
One thing that I expect makes it difficult to translate the manga to anime is that the first one or two volumes has very short chapters. In some cases, you can take multiple chapters and cleanly put them into one episode, but you still need fillers and transitions.
In the team working on the anime can overall come up with something cohesive that people will enjoy, then thatâll be great.
However, if reviews from fans of the source material are lacklusterâŠ
Now if only watching it didnât look like:
- Season 1: Funimation (service I donât use, although I can watch select time-limited series/episodes in low qualitty through my ISPâs TV app)
- Season 2: Crunchyroll (service I wonât use) and Netflix (service Iâm unlikely to use)
- Season 3: HIDIVE (service I donât use)
so what services will you use? hahaha
couldnât resist
I wouldnât mind using Funimation or HIDRIVE if theyâd have enough Iâd watch to be worth whatever the cost is. Likewise, Amazon Prime.
I still have a large backlog of anime on DVD I bought years ago that I havenât watched yet, so Iâm in no rush to pay for a streaming service.
I wouldnât mind signing up for one service for a single month if I had a plan worked out and scheduled for everything Iâd like to watch within that time.
But seeing as I donât know any anime except for manga adaptations, and for those, in many cases the manga is betterâŠ
(And then when someone suggests an anime adaptation is worth it, itâs split across three servicesâŠ)
ćżăç© spoilersâą
I mean⊠even considering Takagiâs mind-reading abilities that put Nishikata in a huge disadvantage, his bad luck of running into Mano-tachi not once, but twice. The poor lad doesnât have a chance.
