このタトゥーが何て書いてあるか誰か知っていますか?ありがとうございまず!
First kanji is 愛 love
Second has the shellfish radical on the bottom, might be 貴 valuable
Third no idea
Last is 力
Overall I would guess something about the power of love
But the first two characters can also be a name: Aiki
Thank you so much!
Could the third kanji be upside down?
I believe so: It looks like 筆 (“brush”) backwards.
According to Jisho, 筆力 is “strength of the brush stroke; power of the pen; ability to write”.
… which is rather ironic, if that is indeed an upside-down 筆.
I asked a Japanese friend, and he confirmed 愛 and 貴 and 力 but he couldn’t read the third one either
The shapes are a bit unbalanced as well so I guess it was done by somebody who doesn’t know Japanese
Reckon it looks more like 華.
I’m quite sure that’s the 艹 radical on the, uh… “bottom”, either way.
The grass radical never gets split like that in Japanese either, so it might not have been intended to be Japanese in the first place.
It looks like 糞力 maybe?
That would make sense. Looking around a bit, 愛, 貴 and 華 are all commonly found on Chinese tattoo stencils, and I’m sure some have 力, too.
Maybe somebody asked for a tattoo that said “Love, Honor, Beauty/Glory and Power”
(On a side note, while looking at various tattoo inspiration pages, I found that there are a lot of people with the characters 星笑愛 inked on their bodies.)
Thank you so much everyone!!! みんなありがとうございまず!
My first thought on reading that line is that Glory and Honor and Power are the three things given to God in Revelation 4:11, and while Love doesn’t come up in that particular verse, it definitely appears in other places.
Though possibly a coincidence.
Of course, that old chestnut, Stars Laugh Love.
