Scripts not working! Help. Mega-noob plea

Hi there - I just got very excited by this thread and installed a whole bunch of scripts + openframework.

The issue.. about 50% of these don’t seem to be working.

I’m running on firefox, and when I click on tampermonkey:

  • All the scripts are checked enabled, none of them are greyed out
  • Open framework is the #1 script

The scripts I’ve managed to have working are: Confusion guesser, Pitch accent, Double-Check and Niai Similar Kanji.

These are displayed, but I can’t get to work: Stroke-Order, WaniKani Open Framework Additional Filters, Wanikani Self-Study Quiz.

Whereas, the following don’t even show in the list of enabled when I click on tampermonkey in the browser (which is strange, as when I go tampermonkey > dashboard I see them as enabled):
Wanikani Self-Study Hide Info, Wanikani: Progress Percentages, Jitai, Wanikani Ultimate Timeline and WaniKani Context.

I’m obviously super happy with the stuff working. The only pattern I see with the ones that don’t even display, is they all seem to ‘modify’ the main page, as well as the visual display of the flashcard. I don’t know if that’s a red herring.

I can live without the progress stuff, as I have wkstat - but it would be amazing to at least get Jitai working! I think the font change is a super powerful/important one - and it’s a shame wanikani doesn’t do it natively.

Any help gratefully received!!!

Thank you so much

Tom

There was an update a few months ago to WK that broke a lot of scripts; my guess is that the ones that aren’t working haven’t been updated since then. You can check in the thread for each individual script to see if it’s been updated in this section:

Just shy of 1 year now. A few of the scripts which are no longer actively maintained have had code changes suggested by others which you can apply locally to fix, or mostly, fix them. You will find those in the threads for those scripts. Mostly, that activity was in July and August of last year, so if you scroll back in the thread to end of June last year and then start looking from there you should find the various suggestions and comments.
