I’m looking for a way to review old levels of kanji without resurrecting burned items. I saw the old community post but I don’t have the greasemonkey extension and would much rather have something native to the wanikani website that will be maintained etc. I think this would be a very helpful feature for people on higher levels.

You can resurrect burned items. Just go to the item page and scroll to the bottom.
The API exists for this purpose though. The API is stable and maintained by WaniKani, so the scripts using it for things like self study are relatively stable.

The script I found that another user had written (several years ago) didn’t work for me. I know could make my own anki deck or something but this forum is for feedback on wanikani and my feedback is: I would like a way to review burned items without resurrecting them.

Sadly many people will just say your request is wrong or that WaniKani is perfect as is, I stopped writing feature requests here and I suggest you to email WaniKani directly so you don’t have to read a lot of off topic answers to your request.

Not the same thing, but I do wish there was a way within WaniKani to easily maintain a list of burned items that I might like to review so that I could self-study them on my own without resurrecting them and adding them back into the lesson queue.

I agree that it’d be helpful if WK included a burn reviews section. Sometimes I only need a refresher on a vocabulary word and don’t need to go to the extent of resurrecting it. Also maybe if you could choose burns by specific levels because I wouldn’t want to re-review words from the first few levels.

This script allows you to review burned items, but perhaps it is the one you are referring to…?

If you go to Items, Wanikani, Open Config, Show/Hide and turn off all but Burned, you will have your list.

When someone posts in the feedback section, it natural for people to try to “solve” the problem. Sometimes it’s helpful, and other times people don’t want the problem to be solved other than from WaniKani themselves. 
@emilypmit You’re best off emailing them with your request, as they rarely comment on things like this on the forums.

If you want to review your wanikani-items, without touching your progress, you could try kaniwani. If you do, you’ll get the benefit of learning the vocabulary independent of the kanji, though you still review them. It’s not exactly what you asked for, though, since it will give you all the vocabulary, not just what you previously burned.
It is how I intend to review, though, when I finally finish my wanikani lessons, so I thought I’d suggest it
